If it is... I would be a little dissapointed... But, in Malky we trust! :ayatollah:

He signed a new deal Watford at the end of last season! That's not me saying it won't happen though, because as you say, they've got a new manager since then so the situation may have changed! :ayatollah:

Yes.

If we paired Taylor with Turner we would have a really huge cenre back pairing! Taylor is allegedly 6ft 4 ins tall but looks bigger than that to me. Pace would be a bit of a worry. But Turner is quite quick for his size. (Obviously Hudson isn't).

Makes sense as Malky used to manage him like a lot of his signings

Would probably be used as a squad player, quite a good player and solid. :ayatollah:

We're going to have to pay a fee for a 32, soon to be 33 year old. No sell on value, probably gonna ask for high wages, no thanks. It's one signing I won't be happy with

1 year left on his contract (Sean Dyche extended it I think), might not be in Zola's plans (although Mariappa has gone so not sure what CBs he plans on playing) and he's on about £4k p/w at Watford, hardly going to cost us much for a 1/2 year contract.

He'll add experience , he's played in the premiership and has got teams promoted before from this league. A very useful addition and a very strong option from set plays i.e Gunnar's throws!

THIS ^

As well as being a cheap option. Fee won't be large, and wages are average to low.
Could be useful in cup competitions allowing to rest first team players, but also being tidy back up for Huds and Ben should a reason arise. At 6ft 4" and a very strong player, will help both defence and set pieces.

If malky see's something good in him being at the club then I'm behind him. :ayatollah:

Your welcome to him.

Has been a good defender for us over the last couple of years, however missed a large part of last season through injury before struggling to regain his place from the excellent mariappa and nosworthy. he eventually regained his place when mapps got injured.

he is very tall and has a good head, but i don't think he necessarily suits our new managers style. he has also lost more than a yard or two of pace in the last couple of seasons. a useful player to have in a squad, but im surprised your not aiming higher.

of the two i would have signed nosworthy over taylor any day of the week. i expect we are happy to let him go as we will be easily able to get another CB in from granada or udinese.

Not seen Nosworthy play for Watford but surprised he seems to have done well, didn't think he was very well rated by the end of his loan spell at Sheff United.

There were a lot of watford fans who had written him off before he played a game for us, but he came in and transformed the defence. this meant that taylor dropped out, but once nos joined in the october we only lost 6 more games over the course of the season. not a bad achievement for a team of our standing at that point. we did not score a lot last season, but he certainly firmed up our defence no end.

don't get me wrong taylor is a good championship defender, but age is not on his side and its clear to most fans he would be off at the end of this season anyway. a bench warmer for you, nothing more, im really surprised you have not set your sights higher.
