My son has got a mobile home in Llangennith, we spend a lot of time there, it is beautiful, I'm in Sydney and New South Wales at the moment visiting my other son and daughter's families, some of the Sydney beaches remind me of the Gower.
Hillend Caravan Park is full of Jacks.

my late father in law was from Rhosilli, got to be one of the best beaches in the uk,unfortunately it usually pisses down in wales so sydney has got to come out tops on weather alone

Was down Clovelly Beach yesterday, it's the nearest beach to my daughter's, we were the only people on the beach other than the surfers, playing on the sand with my Grandson, it was raining and blowing, did remind me of Rhossili a bit mate.

Yeah, I know, I'm a jack too, I live in Mumbles, which is certainly part of Swansea but a village in it's own right? Confusing place eh? I'm about 5 minutes from Langland Bay which is a fantastic beach. I just can't believe you started another thread on this

Yeah mumbles is a cracking place ,did many `mumbles miles" in my younger days for stags etc(i`m bloody 51 now but could still do one)but prefer caswell myself of the beaches, though not taking anything aweay from langland,i did in fact have a beach hut there many years ago and enjoyed a few piss ups there.
As to starting a thread you prob know how SOME people are wound up about the fact that th

e gower is Not a part of Swansea

Ah, the 'Mumbles Mile'!!! Good times, sadly most of it is gone these days. Only a few pubs left down there now...

Such a shame, I loved the Mumbles Mile.
It's probably still called the Mumbles Mile because when you're walking down it, you're walking for a mile a time mumbling to each other 'how far is it until the next pub'...

I'm guessing that by starting another thread, and by trying to lure me into another debate on this matter, you've found some supportive evidence that supports your theory that the Gower is not part of the city and county of Swansea? It must be pretty special if it's going to trump all the evidence that i've submitted. Go on then, I'll humour you. Let's see this evidence...

You and I both know Swansealad, that the Gower is part of the city and county of Swansea, even though it seems to make that lot up the road chortle. I'm still waiting for this evidence that must have come to light. Why else would someone want to start a thread on this, and risk being humiliated all over again. Probably little more than the usual conjecture, but we'll see.
Now then, this new evidence please. I'm waiting...

Only just noticed this thread anyone from the Gower laughs at us when we say this. Only ever call it Gower, none of the locals think they are even near Swansea

I have just moved away from Morriston after living there for 25 years and it is not now, or ever was considered as part of the city even by the locals. They go to the Gower to get away from the city.

I also know quite a few people from the Gower who are regulars up at the Liberty, just let them have their fun on here with it mate. Meanwhile we can all be happy down our way knowing that we have such a wide choice of beaches and beauty spots right here.
