They are not what they used to be!

To be fair the pies aren’t that bad, apart from the price. Used to love a Clark’s pie

I always thought their story could be a film.

Family arguments split the business in two, one keeping Cardiff and the other Bristol.

I think there was even another falling out with part of the Cardiff family keeping the name and Grangetown and the other called Victoria Park Pies and in Canton.

Anyone else put the lid between two slices of butter...... no, just me.... I'll get my coat.

These pies should have DOP status and increase the filling by atleast 50%

What stall?

Rees's pies from the butchers in Canton up near the Clive are the best for me in Cardiff. Always queuing out the door so if you don't get there by 1pm they're normally sold out.

Not the oddest thing to eat that at all. Clarks pie lid between 2 slices of bread and butter sounds nice.

Now me - I have banana sliced lengthways on toast with masses of butter.....with English mustard spread over the banana - now thats odd! But weirdly nice sweet and sour taste to it.

I heard good things about Rees Pies, a long time ago now. Good to know it's still going

You're right - that's very weird! Used to have banana sandwiches in school but the mustard Not sure about that!

Pickled onion sandwiches were delicious too!

Are those lovely onion rolls

Yep. Steak pie is absolutely top notch, plus a couple, or 4, mini corned beef pasties to eat while you walk home with your pie.

Some of the "guest pie of the month" selections last season were virtually inedible.

Bring back the matchday Clarks Pie!

It is hard to find a good pie these days,at some northern away clubs you get a good one.i often walk through the marketplace,I will have to buy a coupe and try those pasties,I never eat at our stadium.

Kevin's pies in canton are the best !

I say Kevin's pies as it is his name but Rees is the shop go there. His cooked ham is the best in Cardiff as well. No family or financial interest but I just want top notch local business to survive in this hard environment.

Love a Peters Pie but Pot Noodle sandwiches for me
