Mansfield Town Manager Says “today could of been 9-4 to Mansfield against Cardiff City”
“We had a number of injuries, but we got trough and around their defence time and time again.”
“Mansfield have finished 10th and it’s their best position for 40 years.”

Mansfield obviously deserved to win the game but I think this is a bit over the top from Clough.
We had other chances that we could have scored too.

Totally agree, it was way over the top from Clough. They had 10 shots on target so in effect he reckons all bar one of those should have resulted in a goal. What a clown.
Considering we fielded a weakened team, 20 shots with 7 on target in an away game is pretty good going. A full strength team with something to play for would in my eyes have rolled over Clough's team.

The fact that City fans were celebrating when Mansfield scored their goals just shows how serious we were taking this game
It's actually quite sad that clough is giving himself a pat on the back for this result

Playing Sunday league half cut after being on a bender all week is hard enough, so to try doing it at third tier level is probably quite a big contributing factor as to why our defenders were half asleep yesterday

We had squad numbers 70 and 71 come on yesterday with a 16 yo making his debut(think that tells you how bothered BBM was with the result, he was just trying some new things with different players). Team were clearly
On the beach. We didn’t really get out of first gear and still managed to score 4

And first gear was up one on the first half after we spent most of that in reverse.

Could have been a little more gracious considering they won but then again he is a Clough so there's that.

Looks like he’s inherited his old man’s love of hyperbole and exaggeration.

Definitely - Nigel Clough is looking after his job ready for next season. does he honestly believe that game would have run that way if we had needed to win it to go up automatically!!?
