Could they do any worse :?

Throw the manager in as well and it can only improve on what we've been subjected to lately

Are there a few players missing from that squad who would normally be in it? Maybe left out to be in the senior squads this week?

Morison has certainly sorted out our Under 23’s, best results for years. Another good appointment by Harris, should we have kept him rather than panicking and appointing mad Mick? Is now the time to try Morison until Christmas to see how he does with the 1st team?

I was saying to my Dad the other night that the best way forward would be to let McCarthy have Fulham - cos it would be a baptism of fire for any new coach but barring a miracle let hm go after that and bring Steve Morrison in as an interim coach while we spend the time looking for a decent new manager that can take us on as a project.

Morison knows the strength of the kids now in the first team better than anyone else - play as many of the kids as we can and play some football with ambition. Yes we will get thumped every now and then but lets be honest we\re getting thumped every week at the minute anyway.

Personally I'd love to see 4-2-3-1 line up with a focus on youth and playing the ball in the opposition end of the pitch with a high press.

We have the personnel to do it and anything is better than 5 centre backs.

I'd go:
Smithies GK

Bagan LB
Morisson/Flint CB
McGuiness CB
Sang/NG RB

Pack CM
Ralls/Vaulks CM

Giles - LW
Colewill/Harris - 10
Bowen - RW

Moore - 9

Full backs pushing up on the overlap when we have possession with Pack dropping back to form a back three.

Ralls/Vaulks to press high and break up play and quick release to the wings. WIngers/Full backs going to the by-line to feed Moore who is criminally under-served at the minute. Harris/Colewill to play in the space off Moore.

Can but dream but there is the talent there to at least have a go at sides.

Never been a fan of the little time managers are given to turn things around in the modern game - but playing 5 at the back against the jacks was too much even for me. MM has to go.

Hi Mick - if this line up saves your job then you can buy me a pint. ;)
