I seem to remember Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young taking charge for a few games and hardly covering themselves in glory.

O also said this when he was released. But in fairness MM had all HIS coaches in place, so it wasnt to be,but I did say perhaps MM saw him as a possible threat.
