Last night personally I would have taken Miller off & Left Earnie on
Earnie has a much better engine
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:20 pm
I will make a decision on him after a few more games. Lets not forget he hasn't had much of a pre season so is a bit behind regards sharpness and overall fitness.
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:22 pm
With miller he will get a chance and take it, WEST HAM, 1 shot 1 goal, he will get a goal from nothing
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:24 pm
Far to early to tell and he is behind on fitness. Clearly over the 3 games he has been very poor but plenty of time to improve
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:26 pm
The west ham game a half decent keeper would have stopped that
BUT will Malky be man enough to drop him if it doesn't work ? ( I hope it does work out and no probs)
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:28 pm
i think once he realy gets going then he will be fireing on all cylinders
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:31 pm
miller has proven class and like mentioned above one chance and one goal,of course the keeper should have done better but the fact was miller in the right place at the right time even in the 90th minute.Im certain he ll come good for us
super kenny miller
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:32 pm
i thought he looked abit better at times last night,
a couple of his passes showed good vision... he still needs a couple of games, but he will def improve...
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:34 pm
I think that Miller has put the effort in but he is struggling because he is not getting any decent chances created for him.
We lack cretivity in midfield. We need another creative player in midfield and a wide man.
He seemed to pick up a bit more ball when Gestade came on.
Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:38 pm
Too early to judge for me. I said i'd leave it until 10 games has past - and I will stand by that.
Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:00 pm
Give him time.
Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:31 pm
Proven class?

In Scotland yes....
Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:37 pm
Put it this way if DJ had signed him people would be going mental
Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:38 pm
atm he needs to up his game, he's not fully fit and you can see the sharpness isn't there yet, but that's what happens when your only involved in what a 1-2 weeks of pre-season, give him a few more games and hopefully he will start to pick up some form
Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:47 pm
Better than Earnshaw in my opinion. If miller had become available first we probably wouldn't have signed Earnie.
He needs a hold up target man striker to play with him, then bring Earnie on for the last 20 minutes of the game in place of him.
Miller and Earnshaw together IS NOT GOING TO WORK over the course of a season.

If i knew we were going to pay him £25k a week, I probably would have given Chopra another chance under a NEW manager....
Thu Aug 18, 2011 7:45 pm
one of worst transfers this season in British football

Jay and Chops together under MM and with the current midfield behind him would have been massive. They make there own chances with good movement and quality. Miller has his back to goal to often and Earnie needs someone who can hold up the ball.

you wernt saying that we he banged in the goal away to west ham!

even if he bangs 15 goals transfer itself was beyond terrible

1million euros for 31, almost 32 years old player - first thing. ~25k p/w for 31, almost 32 years old player - f*cking terrible. that is just stupid, and yet we want to have no debts.
Thu Aug 18, 2011 8:30 pm
Only time will tell, but he'll certainly score more goals than Chops did last season.

Agree wages are abit daft... considering we was not prepared to pay jay 13k a week.. but if he does score 15-20 goals then it has to be worth it..
Thu Aug 18, 2011 8:45 pm
A striker has to be more than just about goals, Jay IMO was the best in his position in the league even when he wasnt scoring.

I can't believe that Earnie has a better engine than Miller.
Last night he was the one looking for the ball, dropping deep to influence the game and showing some nice touches when the service is right. He is a very clever player who will only get better. I still think him and Bellers would be the perfect pairing despite the lack of height.
Give this team some for god's sake ! We're averaging e points a game, that gives us 92 points at the end of the season, surely that puts it into perspective !!??

Well when I was up in Edinburgh I was talking to an Irishman behind the bar (not turning it into a joke

) and he said Miller will bag loads of goals for us.
Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:15 pm
Irish barmen surely is Nostradamus.
how long is his contract? two, three years?
