being welsh

Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:40 pm

Why are there so many angry people on here that delight in wales losing at rugby? If wales were playing tiddly winks or knitting for girls i for one would still want the welsh team to win. Assume there are lots of english posting here as you love the welsh to lose so much

Only very confused and insecure 'Welsh' people would WANT their OWN country to lose. Not caring? I understand that completely. Wanting YOUR country to lose? Moronic and pointless.

i just cant stand the whole day out thing, women on the train platform with bottles of lambrini, pink cowboy hats on and 1998 wales rugby cotton trader shirts!! each to their own, but the whole rugby day experience is not for me..

on the post subject, i wouldnt want wales to lose at anything, but if given the chose between 3pts for cardiff or a victory for the national team in rugby, it would be cardiff and 3pts everytime..

Like your stereotypes don't you? Wanting your country to lose just because you don't like the sport just doesn't make any sense.

Solid as a rock mate

I just don't get it, wanting your own country to lose won't make the national sport vanish! All it does is show how bitter and twisted you are. I'll support Wales in absolutely anything. even sports I hate because I'm proud to be Welsh :ayatollah:

like you said some sports may not interest us but i still want england to win in them.then other brit teams.strangely some times when the england football has mis behaved or been over hyped like wc 2012 then i,m not too gutted when they return home early.big diff to wanting them to lose though.that wc semi in the rugby you lost i was well into backing taff.

Because they are immature and need to grow up, quite pathetic realy, support your country, what they need to do is go away on the Scotland trip and see how people from different countries get on and become friends, I have Scottish friends who come down here every two yrs, and I go up and stay with them and make new friends every time I go up there.

Football fans think they need to abuse the opposition to try to win a game, make the atmosphere intimidating, yes, but it is only a game after all, by shouting abuse at opposing players I would have thought makes them more determined to succeede,
