Missed the start of it so went back to the start to listen to the whole interview. Made me laugh that Tan said to him last season "if you're near the top of the league then great, but if you're not then you'll be sacked".

As regards to him doing interviews, he does do a lot. Colin Murray said he's a friend of the programme so I guess he goes on that show a lot. He's quite good with the media so that's probably why they want to speak to him and he knows he can do it - gives good exposure to the club too.

Maybe wanted to speak to him today because our result yesterday was one of the headline pre-season results.

Let's be realistic here. Every one of the top 100 European clubs is analysing BBM; it's their job, he doesn't need to do the publicity. His Mrs is also a media professional so a bit must rub off.

I am also unsure whether he goes at the first big offer. You can become unfashionable very quickly in the management world, 2 wrong moves can kill your career. He is also pretty old for a first-season manager. As long as Tan backs him I think he stays and builds. I bet his new contract is rewarding and pretty watertight.

What's the best he can hope for, Brentford ? He will need a club with a plan that doesn't panic.

I am not entirely in love with football (I want pace on the flanks!!!) but i think he stays and builds a legacy as he has total power and i doubt he gets that anywhere else.

I don’t even think it needs to be a premier league club, I could see him leaving for top half championship provided they offer to back him

Wouldn’t begrudge him for it as you say but I do get the impression he’d put himself first and you can’t really blame him considering managers are gotten rid of after just a few difficult weeks

This may sound like a daft thing to say but would BBM want to manage a club which expects to spend millions of pounds on established stars and where the pressure may be to not use so many youngsters?

Take Spurs or Everton for example. Would they be happy to have a manager who is so invested in improving young players?

Would BBM want to manage a team of established Premier League players with a multi million pound budget?

This may sound like a daft thing to say but would BBM want to manage a club which expects to spend millions of pounds on established stars and where the pressure may be to not use so many youngsters?

Clearly, there could be interest in him, if he is seen as ‘successful’ as time goes on, similar to players, but he’s on a new 3-year contract and ‘happy’ in and at Cardiff

People are class. BBM does a interview on the radio = putting himself in the shop window

They like young, personable managers/coaches.
Malky had loads of similar stuff until he was un-personed.

I don’t even think it needs to be a premier league club, I could see him leaving for top half championship provided they offer to back him

Wrexham would be a good fit, on the telly every day (netflix), backed to the hilt; if we smash them three nil first game of the season, his name would be in the frame for a few clubs.

Maybe - 3yr contract is a great comfort factor and starting point for negotiations if someone bigger came in.

Guess it depends on the first 15/20 games this season - top 6 will attact offers - we'll see how selective he might be if that situation comes up.
