:bluescarf: :bluescarf: “ TODAY OMER RIZA UPDATES CARDIFF CITY FANS “ :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Thursday 13th March 2025

Omer Riza is under pressure big time from the CCFC Board and Fans now to get Wins.

With 4 Consecutive Defeats

And only 4 Wins in his last 24 League Games, Cardiff are now in one hell of Relegation Battle:

Omer Riza:

"So you've got to understand the game like I do and you've got to understand it tactically. You've got to understand strategical things in the game in respect of player positioning.“

OMER RIZA:

“I can't knock the effort and commitment of my players.”

“ All the games we’ve lost or drawn is because of continuous mistakes.”

Omer Riza:

Omer Riza:

"When we talk about player positionings on the pitch," he added. "We play players in positions we feel can do the job. So for instance, I'm playing a 4-2-3-1, and playing Rubin Colwill left side of a three. People turn round and potentially say that he's playing out of position.”

OMER RIZA:

“My players and I, and my staff, we’re all one," he began. "I think that’s really important that everyone understands that. I’ll always take full responsibility for my team.”

“We’re all working towards the same goal, that’s me, my staff, the players, that’s the whole Club, in respect of where we’re trying to get to. Where we want to get to is to get this Club back to where it’s been before and even higher if we can.”

OMER RIZA:

Team update:

“Joe Ralls is training fully. He’s been here a long time and he’s part of the fabric of the Club. He’s got a great attitude and character, the captain of the Club and it’s nice to have him back.

"Ollie Tanner is on the grass now, but not with the squad yet. We’re getting people back slowly."

Omer Riza:

“When we’ve had conversations as a squad, it’s been open and honest, I think that helps. The conversations have been difficult, but sometimes, you need those in order to progress forwards.

“I think individually, as a group and as staff, we have to look at what what we’re doing wrong, what we need to correct or tweak, ask if something is not quite right and if we have to go back two steps in order to progress three steps forwards again. All those things are a part of making sure we’re ready for the next game. It’s always about that next game."

Omer Riza:

“Blackburn have my old manager. When I was at Watford, Valérien Ismaël was the manager at the time, I was one of his assistants. I know him and Dean [Whitehead] well. It’ll be an interesting game, they’ve had a good season so far and at home they’re strong, but the conversations we’ve had are that mindset and approach are going to be key.

“There have been times when we have played ok and haven’t got things out of the games. Those are gone and the most important thing is points and winning games."

“I can't knock the effort and commitment of my players.”

“ All the games we’ve lost or drawn is because of continuous mistakes.”

“We are talking about it and I’m not seeing it. Now this is a fight. Now we are going to see the boys who are going to step up and fight for this club.”

“It’s fight or flight. We are in a real tough spot at the moment.”

“We have got nine games and we have got to fight for every game, every minute, every inch of grass. It's the message I can give the players. They will know after tonight.”

Boos rang out at full time and the supporters have every right. Riza will have to shoulder some of the blame even if he places the vast majority of it on the shoulders of his players.

Re: OMER RIZA:

The speculation regarding his departure can be very unsettling to him and the players ……how can they respond positively to him if he is on the high jump ?

Blackburn should have nothing to do with the decision .

The Club must either dismiss him or to make a clear statement that he is staying till the end of the season . A demoralized and destabilized manager is no good at all …..the assistants can cover if he is out ….better than a wounded and nullified manager .

Dalman and Choo had an emergency meeting with Riza after the Luton game.

Blackburn Rovers' manager is Valérien Ismaël, who was appointed last month.

Ismaël first stepped into coaching in 2009, joining Hannover 96 as assistant boss. By 2010, he had been promoted to manager of Hannover 96 II. He stayed in the role for just over three years when he moved to VFL Wolfsburg II.

After a year at the side, he left to pursue a new role as head coach at 1. FC Nürnberg. He left just a few months later with a record of eight losses in thirteen matches.

The French boss returned to VFL Wolfsburg where he took over again as manager of the second team before taking charge of the First Team the following season.

The former defender then had spells in charge of Greek side Apollon Smyrnis and Austrian outfit LASK before taking his first role in English football at Barnsley in 2020.

He took the Tykes to the Play-Offs in his first season in charge, but was unable to achieve promotion.

Following Barnsley's Play-Off defeat, Ismaël joined fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion but was dismissed later the same season.

The 49-year-old joined Beşiktaş a month later before returning to England to take over at Watford.

Ismaël spent just under a year at the Hornets and was dismissed following a run of one win in ten league games.

Since taking over at Blackburn Rovers, last month he has taken charge of four matches, drawing one and losing the other three.

Riza states your have to learn from your mistakes? I'm sorry that's wrong that he just blames the players his tactics his subs at times have been major mistakes has cost us points he hasn't learned from that honestly I just give up on this guy

Omer Riza:

"The first thing for me is, I'm the manager of the football club and anything that happens at the club in respect of our performances on the pitch, the decisions players make in terms of tactics and player positioning, is all on me," he said.

"I take responsibility for my team. Whether it's results. Whether it's tactics. I think that's important because sometimes when I do press calls or I do things after games, I don't ever want it to sound like I'm blaming my players.“

"He's not playing out of position. He's playing the 10, but he's creating a box. He'll drop in and create a box with Alex Robertson. Then we've got (Calum) Chambers and Rambo (Aaron Ramsey) behind it. In the last game we played, it gives Callum O'Dowda the licence on the left wing.“

"With Calum Chambers, he's moved into midfield this year. I think we've been very successful with Calum Chambers. He's moved up there and he's probably been one of our best midfielders this year.”

"So it's a player out of position, who's been excellent. Andy Rinomhota was a player that was a bit of a nomad if you like. He wasn't getting many minutes and was very disgruntled with not playing. He's done excellent this year. He's played right-back, he's played central midfield, he's played up and down the wing and he's done very well.“

"Also with squad rotation. Sometimes squad rotation is something that you have to do, because you haven't got the players that you played the previous game. Boys get injured. Boys pick up injuries on the bench before a warm-up.

"These things are all important. We're all working towards the same goal. That's the press. That's me. That's my staff. That's the players. That's the club.“

Rubin’s playing a 10 on the left and creating a box. You have to understand thing’s tactically like me. Really I can tell you a good tactic. Stop playing it out of the back slowly, attack, get the ball wide to proper wingers to cross the ball quickly from the byline to Salech. Get midfielders driving into the box and shooting. These are good tactics. Now just bloody well do it. We can understand this.

"I'm quite open to talking with fans, as long as there's respect and obviously I don't divulge information that I don't need to.

"But I like to think I'll get on the level with people and talk honestly.

"If someone asks me a question about why I'm playing somebody in a position that I'm playing them in, I'll say 'you tell me why you think I'm playing a player in that position', and I'll get an answer out of them and tell them what I think.

"So I think it's good.

"The fans just want to be part of everything and they want to know what's going on. Hopefully the fans will see that I like to try to have time for them as well.

"We're all human at the end of the day. People ask a question, whether they're fans or not, or people that have been in the game 30 years, or a fan watching the game. If they've asked a question and if I've got time, I'll answer it. I'll give them the answer that I know and if they don't understand it I'll explain it to them.

"I think it's important.

"Sometimes fans can say their opinion whether it's a nice one or not. If it's not nice, I just say 'thank you for that and if you ask me a different way next time you might get an answer'.

"So I always want to have relationships with the fans. Whether it's here at the stadium or whether it's in little meetings at places, functions, I think it's important."

Luton Town:

Omer Riza:

"We've given them the opportunity to claw back some points against us and that's on us.”

“Whether they can continue to go and rob other teams like they've robbed us today, which seems to be a common theme with us at the moment, I'm not sure, probably not, but we've got to worry about ourselves. If I said I was disappointed it’s an understatement.”

"We're not doing all the things we need to do to win games, that’s the bottom line, we’re still making fundamental mistakes. We’ve been pulled right back in. It was tough anyway and to not get the result and for Luton to win, the boys need to understand where we're at and we need to get on with it. There’s small margins in games, we hit the bar at 1-1, but the fact of the matter is we haven't picked up a result again.”

“They weren't great, they weren't great today, they’re not a great team.“

I like Riza but I think that is very patronising. No, we aren't football managers but even we can see the chaos that is ensuing when you put a team out, players look bewildered. ODowda isnt a left back simple as that and we look dangerous when he is running at their right backs.

Sorry but the patience I had with Riza has now gone...ITS MY CLUB HAS BEEN SINCE I WAS 10 AND WILL BE UNTIL I DIE, you come and go :bluebird:
