Connolly to replace Peltier?

Neil Warnock: "We are a bit short, I’ll be glad to get tomorrow out the way! Jazz Richards is training again, he’s had one thing after another. Hopefully next week we’ll have him and Lee. Matt Connolly did well at Forest, though this will be a bigger test."

Neil Warnock: "'I knew it would be a relegation battle"

"I do look at the league table! Even when I came here I knew it would be a relegation battle. It’s a big project, people don’t realise how big but I do and I have done from the start."

"Psychologically you don’t want to be in the bottom three, but when I look at the teams in the bottom half of the table, if we’re constructive in what we bring in, we’ll enjoy it a lot more. The jigsaw is not complete at the moment, we need to put the missing bits in to see the picture."

Neil Warnock on Bruno Manga:

Cardiff City have already received interest in Bruno Manga after Neil Warnock confirmed he's ready to offload the big-earning centre-back.

Bluebirds boss Warnock had already warned he would be prepared to sell senior players if it means he can land the January deals he thinks can push Cardiff up the Championship table.

And he has now admitted he has told Manga he can move on with the right offer when the window opens next month.

I’m looking to get him away. He’s all for it, he understands. I’ve got to do some financial wheeling and dealing.
I’ve had no problem with Bruno, in fact in the last couple of weeks he’s been fantastic in his training, and it wouldn’t bother me putting him in if I had to before now and the African Nations.
But, just because we might try and move on or two financially, doesn’t mean he’s going to go. And if he doesn’t he’ll be part of the plans for the rest of the season, you can’t write anybody off.
But when you look at how you’re going to thin the squad, there may be one or two surprises because I might have to generate money to bring the ones I want in.

The African Nations is not going to make it any easier, but we’ve had three or four clubs from different countries ask about him. He’s got a very global agent so I’m sure there’ll be phonecalls happening all the time and people watching him in the Cup of Nations might be a good thing.

NEIL WARNOCK: "Paul would die for me"

"I’ve known Paul Trollope since he played for me at Torquay, people like him brought me back to life after leaving Notts County, they were a group of lads that went through brick walls for me on £100 quid a week. It brought me down to earth, he would die for me, some of the tackles he went through made me wince! Sometimes fate has a big part in life, he’s a smashing bloke, and now he’s at a wonderful club. He’ll be disappointed but at Paul’s age, he’ll learn from it, he’ll be a better person for it."

"I think he’s a wonderful bloke and a super coach."

Neil Warnock on Glenn Murray's threat:

"Glenn Murray was at Palace, I only saw him for two or three sessions when he asked to go, that was one of my biggest mistakes, I knew that within two weeks. We needed him within three weeks, he’d have been playing, but I let him go for family, etc."

Changes in the offing

NEIL WARNOCK: "I don’t think we were ready for Wigan, because you have to have other strings to your bow. But against the other sides not in the top six we have other options. I think we can give better accounts of ourselves against these teams."

"I saw the light at the tunnel at Villa, against a top club, with one or two additions we can be a threat in the second half of the season. I’m quietly confident at the minute."

Neil Warnock's message to Cardiff City fans

"It’s a massive club, even I didn’t realise how big."

"This club is waiting, like Brighton were when Chris went in."

" I’d like to think this club could be looking to do what they’ve done in 12 months. They streamlined the squad then brought players in. I’ve got to do my bit and then the club has to do their bit."

"I don’t think there is panic, not even with the fans. I’m going to tell them what I think then it’s up to them, isn’t it? They’re pretty sensible, they’ll see what I do in January and before then."

Really like this bloke just speaks sense...looks like major wheeling and dealing over the next 12 months..and I'm pretty confident in Warnocks ability to do a good job with transfers

Up to the club to back him though Annis...he has already hinted he expects to be backed fully if he keeps his side of the bargain and reduces the wage bill...he won't stick around if they don't

Im not going to get in to the Anti Tan debates again, but Tan for the last 6 years has been virtually dictating what and who managers should sign, not all players but quite a few and got us in a right mess, thankfully Neil Warnock won't stand for Tans madness :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:
And I believe and hope Tan has finally learnt as its cost him fortunes.

Slade was virtually given no money at all and even had to loan out 1st team players to reduce our wage billl...and Trollope sold 2 players for 5million and replaced them with free transfers....so those 2 weren't

True, Slade and Trollope were given less than peanuts and both had to sell sell.

Re: BREAKING NEWS ' NEIL WARNOCK TODAY '

Fri Dec 02, 2016 4:54 pm

I am glass half empty.

From what I have seen of our defence and inability to control central midfield and play constant attacking football, and even when they win it is always just by the odd goal, this team has to be one of the favourites for the drop.

Yes they may pick up a few points this month and yes they may get in a few better players in January but even so, so will other clubs and we cannot just rely on Burton, Brentford or Barnsley or whoever automatically slipping down the league.

Blackburn are obviously better than they were when we played them (and only beat the with 2 og's) as are Wigan so which 2 clubs are going to join Rotherham assuming they don't pick things up.

in all fairness the club had to pay off 6 or 7 players from our over bloated squad during Slades 1st window which must have run up a bill of millions and still allowed Slade to add just as many to the squad . i dont think Russ did himself any favours during that jan window either. as for trolls..immers,bennet,lambert,huws,richards...might not have been huge transfer fees but how much a year in wages ?
