Some "new" chants

Simple, well known tunes and easy to remember.


- Anthony Pilkington, Anthony Pilkington, Anthony Pilkington, Anthony Pilkington (to the tune of your grounds to big for you).

- LEX! IMEEEEERRS! Saviour of the Bluebirds (flash by queen).

- Woooooaaah ooooohh this Lex is on fire (sex on fire).

- Craig Noone! He'll get the ball on his own, and then he'll tear you apart, and put the ball in the goal (blue moon).

- Oh what a thrill, he's f*ckin skill, Goodness Gracious Joe Ralls on fire! (Great balls of fire).

- Duh, duh duh duh duh duh duh duh, Duh, duh duh duh duh duh duh duh, David Marshall! (Just can't get enough)



Just chucking a few ideas out there. We really need to get a couple of new ones going, it does wonders for the atmosphere.

Cringing at the thought of some of these being sung down the city, especially the Flash Gordon one.

Sadly, barely ever hear songs about the players anymore...

The Anthony Pilkington one is alright, the rest...

I'm all for boosting the atmosphere with new songs but the best songs are usually made up in the stands (i.e he plays on the left/he does what he wants/what's that coming over the hill)

The trouble is we've been singing the same old half a dozen ones for years so it just sounds like we're going through the motions, they all sound like a dirge.
When we get a new song, which is nearly always nicked anyway (Fraizer Campbell, Kenwynne) fans can't stop singing it because it's a novelty just to have something different from the same old stuff.
It's often said that chants are made up in the stands but you don't really know that, I'm sure there have been many that have been going round the head of someone before being used on the terrace.
By the way the Chopra one was first mentioned on a City message board before it was used at the game, and there were some people saying that it was rubbish then.

I know it's a bit of a scattergun approach but if we post a few ideas each on this thread, make it a sticky, then we might get some of the better ones making it to the stands.

I got one for Macheda everyone should know it, it's the classic 'Your shit, and you know you are.' Macheda would appreciate it as irony because in his mind he thinks he's really good.

As for new songs, I got : 'Everybody wants that man, Scotty Malone' to the Busgy Malone theme tune, referencing his flirtation with Borrusia Dortmund
