well the legit way to do it is wait until your contract has expired then ask your service provider to unlock your handset, i did it recently and it took about 24 hours to sort out.

the other option is to jailbreak and unlock you handset yourself, full instructions and easily obtained from YouTube :ayatollah:

oh and since weve got a FAO Merlin thread....

Craig, I followed your advice and swapped my Iphone 4s for a Galaxy S4, all good so far, like how easy it is to put downloaded films on etc, although im still sussing out many of the features.

How good are the S4's as Vodafone offered me a free upgrade earlier today ? My only issue is that it is absolutely massive.

I was offered both the Iphone 5 and S4 and decided to have a think before deciding. I am more used to using Iphones and prefer the size. How user friendly is the S4 and what are the benefits ?

You can unlock your iphone4S using Remote unlocking method. Which is the safe and secure method to unlock iPhone. You can get this service from any online vendors like SuperUnlockCodes.com here you need to specify your country, IMEI number of your iPhone. Here they unlock your iPhone using latest versions of iTunes. This is permanent unlocking solution. Both upgrading and downgrading will not lock your iPhone again

Hi Gav

That's ironic, as I asked Merlin the same question last night (no response as yet) because I have a new iPhone 4S that is locked to EE (Orange) as it was received in 'compensation' for another issue

I was also told Orange are a nightmare to unlock and it would take approx 3 weeks

Is what you wrote relevant to my situation and/or is it better for me to send to Orange to be done properly?

Thank, mate :ayatollah:
