Thats why id start Kim. His back tracking is brilliant, he really puts a shift in defensively and is quality going forward.

This is a good post for what it's worth but you may find that your starting line up for palace is .... Well.... Unlikely.
It's most likely going to be
Speroni
Blake/ward , ramage, gabbidon, parr
Dikgacoi, jedinak
Zaha, garvan, bolaise
Murray
Subs (of note) : moritz, okeefe, moxey,
I've watch Cardiff a couple of times and have to say your gaffer has really got a team that's ready now. In Bellamy, whittingham and a couple other you have some really good players!! I would even go as far as say that Cardiff is the most ready for the promotion fight this season. Ask any palace fan at the beginning of this season where we thought we would be and 3rd is nowhere near what we would say. We are just happy to be up here and battling with the likes of Cardiff and hull.
In our side of things against you guys its always a go game. We've played each other enough now to know what to look out for. But I think you may have missed a few things. So as a friendly fan I thought I'd point them out.
Murray: he scores goals!! But he really needs service. Cut the service cut the goals. He has 18 goals this season, the next is on 5 I believe. Should say it all.
Zaha, bolaise: you are right to be worried about these two but maybe for the wrong reason. It's not the one on one that's the problem, every defender is aware of the skill of the two lads. What you need to look out for is when they combine. Look out for what looks like over hit crosses. They may well be passes. And if one swaps wings but the other doesn't then they've spotted a weakness, see goal against Huddersfield. From what I've seen your full back are capable of at least frustrating them but not stopping them. Double teaming them doesn't work you will just leave someone else open.
Garvan, moritz: expect them to find a few good passes they are the feeders. Like pw for you guys garvan can place it on a penny if needed. Moritz has better close control so may beat a player first. Both a excellent passers.
Kg and Jedi: two defensive midfielders but really only one !! Kg makes very deep lung busting runs into space. Usually towards Murray opening the wings. Jedi will read the game and clear up our midfield. He's strong and quick with a good range of pass. Watch out for those.
The defence: I don't think you've given us enough credit. Our goal difference is to different to yours . They are organised and strong. In parr and ward there is a bit of pace. Parr is an excellent tidy defender and I think you'll be impressed by him. The centre backs may have a bit of a change this match as damo is suspended due to a horrific tackle last game resulting in a red. So it's likely to be gabbidon and ramage. I guess you know about gabbidon and for that darcy Blake too so no need to say anything there. As for ramage he is stronger than he looks, excellent reader of the game, positioning is brilliant but....... Slow. This will be where you will probably exploit. Expect our defence to be quite deep.
Speroni: regularly one of the best keepers in the league. Excellent shot stopper and really good at game reading. His distribution is quality and he is quietly confident. He's not huge so crosses are his weak point I would say and generally when he does come for crosses he punches clear. Usually towards Zaha / bolaise. Whittinghams crosses have beaten him before.
So that's a bit more knowledge about us. Maybe you could rethink your tactics. The game will be closer than you think. Fitness wise the whole squad is very very fit so don't expect us to give up easily. My shout is a score draw. Good luck tho I hope it's a cracker!! ( sorry had to do it) merry Christmas Cardiff fans. I hope palace win but that's not up to me.

With ramage and Delaney playing so well for us gabbidon coming in and McCarthy still to come back that puts him well down the pecking order for centre back. He has filled in right back for ward a couple of times but he seems to drift in that position. I think as fans we are frustrated that he hasn't shown more cos we all know he's actually really good. So I don't think we dispise him just want to see more from him.
As for grinding us down you need to try something different than that. Like I said we have one of the fittest squads in the league. For Cardiff I think it's just do what you do. Clearly you are a good team and at home should do really well. Getting the first goal won't make a difference in motivation or tactics because palace don't quit. In short it should be a really good 90 mins of football. If both teams and to that, sets of fans show up then this has the potential to be a football game to remember!!

Every team that's come to the CCS to play football has been taken apart.
Every team that's come to the CCS to sit back and defend has been ground down eventually.
Whatever you try it won't work
We've already taken an Ian Holloway team to pieces so far this season.
