Bit premature, I know but are there any plans to add further seats in the event we go up?

Wasn't there talk of adding 5/6,000 seats immediately as a mezanine?

Not this summer but WHEN we get promoted and IF we stay there then the seats will be added for the start of the second season in the PL.

Opportunity missed IMHO.

If we are selling 19000 season tickets now, we'll only be able to sell another 2000 if we go up. Demand will be there for far far more than that.

Maybe the club should offer a 3-year ST for new ST holders if they expand, so even if we do go down we'll still have the support to fill it.

The ground isn't even big enough for next weeks game without people having to pay £45 for Premier Lounge tickets.

Why wait.

None for sale though, unless you've got £45 spare.

ST holders miss games all over, its not unique to us.

A family member of mine has been involved with the construction work of the stadium and his company were approached earlier this year to look at expanding He did mention that work to add another 8,000 seat will need a end of March start date to get anything ready for the next season.

we discussed this subject last week.

In my opinion, they should go for it.

8,000 seats x £350 season ticket cost = £2.8 Million

I have been told it would cost around £5million for the expansion as the footprint is already in place.

I suppose the only issue would be the seat colour

So why did VT lie about it? Was it to help push through his rebranding.

Let's be honest now, there's many people in Cardiff and in the area that support all the bigger teams in the Prem. Manchester United and Liverpool for example. Much more than in Swansea I think. We would need to expand the seats anyway, because obviously more fans would want to see them in the Prem, but the bigger team fans from Cardiff would obviously want to come as well, so more seats are needed then.

I think 26,000 wouldn't be enough in the Prem. 30,000 would be good, because then I would expect 28,000 every game and 30,000 on the bigger ones.

We are lucky now to get more than 700 away fans at a game. In the Prem, the minimum we would get is half full.

I believe we could get 30K averages in the Prem. so not expanding maybe a lost opportunity IMO. In all honesty I believe Tan is looking for a business partner to bankroll us to the next level. Watch this space.

Can see it being expanded just in time for the 2014 UEFA Super Cup. I'd personally like to see our stadium used in the summer months for things like concerts etc, be another reason to put a few thousand more seats in.

Our stadium was chosen because of the size of it, if you look at previous venues the capacities are usually between 20-30,000
