Beckham - A Plausibility?

I don't normally let myself entertain ideas of huge name signings for us, at first I was of the opinion that people were bored and genuinely trying to see how many people they could get to believe that we were going to try for Beckham or Giggs. But then I saw this account on twitter - "@Footie_Insider", that claims in the bio to have a "friend" (suggesting that it's actually him) in the footballing business working as a contractual lawyer, who drafts contracts for clubs and players.
Yesterday he tweeted this - "Cardiff City interested in bringing David Beckham to the South Wales club on a lucrative 6 month contract. #ccfc #cardiff #beckham". That caught my attention, and to be honest I'm starting to have a little something, in the back of my mind, telling me that there may just be something in this. Of course, it may just be true that it's someone trying to make up bullshit, but it isn't a specifically Cardiff-related account, so it's not like it's a Cardiff fan getting his hopes up.
Let's say that what he says is true - that Cardiff are prepared to offer DaiBecks a lot of money over a short period of time - that still doesn't guarantee that he'll even want to come here, he may just laugh us off, take a huge bag of money, and jet off to the A-Leauge. But maybe, just maybe, he'll be interested.

I wouldn't believe it even if the twitter account belonged to David Beckham himself. I don't believe we are entertaining it, let alone Beckham considering it. He doesn't need the money so he isn't even going to go to the team that pays the most, he will go where it suits him (and his family).

Maybe so, I'm not saying it's happening, or even that I think it will. But I can't help but have it in the back of my mind.
