Kimbo v Noone

Sat Dec 22, 2012 10:23 pm

What's peoples thoughts on selection going forward?

Is it possible now with Conway back in favour that maybe Noone will be used at home & Kimbo away as he seems to tuck in a bit more?

Or will Malky rotate the three of them?

Becomes even more complicated when Smith becomes available again, as he virtually picked himself before injury.

I can't second guess Malky , fantastic options though, best in those positions I can remember since I first supported the club. :ayatollah:

Could always play Bellamy,Whitts, Mason or Cowie wide if we were desperate too.

Not bad being a Bluebird at the moment. :ayatollah:

Kim Bo really worked hard today and stuck in a foot in on a number of occassions, really put in a great shift.

Kimbo, Noone, Conway, Bellamy

all bring something different! Kimbo brings a bit of composure, looks comfortable on the ball! Noone has the skills and pace to get passed players! Conway might not have speed which Noone posses but Conway has the better final ball! and well Bellamy, he's just the worker of the team, chases everything!

all very different style of wide men, which is good! we can change things around when things aren't going to plan! :ayatollah:

Kim and Conway are alot better defensively than Noone is and it showed today. To be honest itll be good for Noone to get a bit of rest before the Palace game. Thought Conway was outstanding today and kim had a cracking game.

Will Tommy Smith get back in then? One of the best players for me and many others early part of season

Definetly. Will be in the side as soon as he's fit. We have really missed him at times

Bailed out Whitts a few times to be fair. I don't know why but Whitts has a knack lately for passing to players who are pretty much marked and putting them in compromising situations. Thankfully Kim wriggled out of two or three situations like that or laid it back to a defender to restart an attack. Maybe its because Whitts isn't used to being that deep with lesser options in front of him.

Kimbo could be the answer to giving whitts a break (and a kick up the arse) which imo he needs whitts is going back wards .... i think whitts is more siuted to 4 5 1 rather than 4 4 2 he needs to be in front of 2 holding mid fielders with 2 wide players giving us width .....if maynard had not got injured im sure thats the way we would be set up :ayatollah:

I am a big fan of Kimbo. Think his work rate is fantastic and even though he has had the odd poor game, I think his quality is clear to see. I think Malky will play it game by game depending on what the defence and midfield of the opposition is like. I would have no problem with either starting though. Would definitely prefer Kimbo away mind.
