Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

All this is starting to sound too much like people who have nothing to do with the running of
Cardiff City Football Club wanting something to do with running something else that has nothing
to do with the running of Cardiff City Football Club.

The trust is finished. Its toothless.

Direct action is, to an extent, toothless too, but cannot be ignored, and gets in the media spotlight.

The term 'no such thing as bad publicity' does not apply to football clubs.

If the trust and supporters club were transparent and fought the corner of true supporters I'd join,
until then good luck daya. :ayatollah:

by that sludge did you mean that your elected inner circle was more representative than sams chosen inner circle because with recent events i cant make any distinction between the two

Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

people like gwyn and corky were damned if they did and damned if they didnt under hammam

easy for people to line up and take pops at them , gwyn would ask us to keep the faith and when sam would mess things up , it would be gwyns fault as far as facelessfans were concerned

I used to read the rams messageboard and some of the stirring printed on there would put pol pot to shame

people going out of their way to help out and they got it in the neck

with an elected supporter group ..trust or NSA....we have the opportunity to have our voice as to wether people who say they represent the fans are doing a good job

whichever form people go for , its the right way forward

Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

are you aware that under the rules 4 members have to step down and seek the vote again every year ?

Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:48 pm

Only 4, not all?

Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:50 pm

all are subject to a vote

4 have to actually stand down , by due process and seek the vote again

its all written in the constitution

Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:56 pm

So if there's say 6, 7, 8 ( no idea how many ) trust officials, only 4 actually have to stand down?

Why not just have annual votes where every position is up for election?

Re: IF I STAND FOR TRUST ELECTION

Tue Mar 23, 2010 3:01 pm

its to keep the process turning over

ensuring we have people continually coming forward

anyone can stand

and if you did then every year , if elected you would be part ofa baord , 24 of which have to stand down anyway and seek election , the others are subject to the vote

There are 9 board members , as elected at the last AGM by the membership.

At the upcoming AGM , 4 of those have to retire , but can stand for re-election if they wish (as it happens 3 of them don`t wish to) alongside any new candidates that put themselves forward.

The other 5 board members stay in office until the AGM next year when they will all have to retire in the same way.

The idea of only half putting themselves up for re-election at the end of year one is to have some kind of continuity on the board - its the normal model used in business and for similar bodies.
