Look at from purely a business perspective. It would cost VT approx 5.2m for a whole year. How many shirts do you think we could sell with the magic name 'BECKHAM' on the back, especially in the far east?
How much advertising/publicity would it generate for Tan, Beckham in a red Man Utd top, but CCFC.

It would raise the profile of our club through the stratosphere, like what it has done for LA Galaxy in the USA.

Tan thinks big and means big business, he wants to be known world wide.

Scott, because its a very mad, but interesting conversation and this club is a mad club and has a mad man as an owner, who himself probrably has thought about Beckham and what it could do for his OWN PROFILE AND MALAYSIA S PROFILE.

But lets be realistic, we would be behind another 50 clubs who would want him and could afford him world wide.

I don't think anyone questions that though Carl. Your honest opinion can you see anything that would attract Beckham here unless Tan offered him really, really stupid money. If he did sign id take a guess say it would till the end of the current season atleast ? Plenty of time in summer to choose his real next location. I really just cannot see this to be fair.

He could be worth the cash from a marketing point of view ( sales of merchandise etc ), but would bring nothing to the team we have now apart from a over flated ego. The MLS isn't of the standard of the championship let alone the premier leauge and for me he never stood out at LA Galaxy when playing. Besides the city of Cardiff would hardly appeal to him or Posh spice.

Beckham is more of a so so A list celeb in hollywood now than a footballer so I say lets forget these has beens and get real quality in to join the rest of our quality team.

Doesn't matter! He would bring 10x as much revenue to the any club in the world! It's an investment and an massive asset to have! The profit can be used to invest or pay off debts!
