He was great in other games, today, he gave the ball away constantly and almost let Leicester back in with one sloppy pass at the end. Also very lazy, Bellamy did far more chasing down even though he had played the full 90. Cowie was brilliant mind.

I wasn't at the game but Ratcliffe on the radio said Rudy started off well but then stopped chasing and also gave the ball away a bit.

Stop trying to cause an issue. You have your opinion, other people have theirs. Deal with it.

So why not criticise Whittingham? thats all I'm asking. I'm not "trying to cause an issue" its a geniuing question. People want to slag off Rudy at any oppurtinity and cannot accept that he plays well.

Because Rudy was the player in question. This thread is about Rudy, not Whittingham. I mentioned Cowie later on in the post because he's also another player who gets criticism. I did not slag off Rudy, I said its funny how on one of his not so great performances he gets the credit because of how the game turned out and the result. He has played fine in nearly every other game he's featured but today his touch was off by quite a bit and I can recall at least 4 times he lost possession. If anything, he was by far and large most useful at clearing our box.

No he wasn't - Cj was asking why you haven't criticised Whittingham's performance after he'd given away the ball on more than 7 or 8 occasions after watching it back a bit. But you refuse to answer his question properly.

Again, this thread is about Rudy, not Whittingham. Whittingham gave away the ball about 8 times in 90 minutes. Rudy gave the ball away at least 4 times from what I can remember in less than half that time. Whittingham also has more possession of the ball therefore meaning as a percentage of his overall pass rate his giving away of the ball will be far lower.
Im not slating Rudy. I just found it funny that in one of his lesser performances he gets all the plaudits yet in previous weeks when he has done his job perfectly including a goal vs Peterborough he has been told to do one.
Face it, Rudy gets slated when we do poor. i.e. The Peterborough defeat even though he played well yet if we win and he plays not so well he gets the plaudits. He's being made a scapegoat and it ain't fair on him, he is only young and needs factual criticism, not the up and down emotional rollercoaster shit loads of fans like to spout.

CjBluebird17 wrote:The thing is whittingham shouldnt be giving the ball away. He's meant to be our most talented player ands hes giving the ball away in our half. If Rudy lost he ball it would be further up the field. And Whittingham would also very often kick the ball a yard to far for a player to get to. He was very poor today not at his usual high standards.
