BUT (and it a big BUT, probably even bigger that that, more like a really BIG BUT) where would he fit in the team?
We need pacey wingers to attack on the break, and pace is something he has not got (or never had).

If he was to play in the middle who could he replace, certainly not Whitts, and as he cannot tackle, then what use would he be?

We already have (although granted a much worse) McPhail, who cannot tackle, head a ball etc.
But at least Beckham could score, take a corner or free kick.
