If that is the sort of money to sign him then I would say leave it there and move to another target.
I know Malky has a very good budget this January to sign players to come straight in to the first eleven but that is a ridiculous price for Campbell.
Opinions ?
And according to certain media outlets, Brighton are preparing a £4million bid for Charlie Austin.
If we could structure a payment where we could pay so much now and so much based on promotion, appearances and maybe goals scored then would Austin be a better option ?

Given the current financial state of CCFC, if any club accepted such a structured offer they would be barking mad imho.
Although I appreciate that my humble opinion is not really of any relevance here

And I remember Annis suggesting possibility of Malkys biggest signing to date.
Campbell @£7m is neither of the above. That is only a waste of £7m.
I have stated who I would like to see come in January, but I listened to Graham Hunter (I think) on Keys and Gray today and he suggested a possible mass exodus from Spain of reasonably priced players (look at Michu£2m steal).
All looking at playing in UK.

Danny Graham would be better and cheaper. Graham got 14 goals last season which is a good return and he is proven at champ level as well.

Neither of them mentioned are or would be classed as marquee signings.
