Car help please

my daughter got a 04 renault clio,the heaters go on for a bit then go off anyone know what fault could be.

Do they still blow air but just cold?

The heater went on my daughters Clio and it was the heater element. New part plus labour wasn't cheap, sorry mate.

Could be a number of things.

Thermostat
Heater Valve
Heater Matrix
An air lock

Check coolant levels

Try squeezing the pipes as this may help with an air lock.

Did you buy a new motor mate.

Sounds like the bushes in the heater motor need changing.

Do anyone fix them or know a place thanks.

When my heaters were playing up they worked for a bit then stop then randomly start again it was the bushes

I seem to remember though I'm not quite sure reading about this problem somewhere before.One thing you can be sure of though,if its intermittent then its more likely to be a bad connection than a componant failure.What I seem to remember is this person spent a couple of hundred replacing components only to find he had a bad connection and that was after listening to a garage too.Hope that helps.

Thanks guys.She just got in from work and said there working again.So they are stop start all the time.

cheapest fix could be that the coolant level is low in the rad
