As an Ambassador I took 2 guests to the match on Saturday. Sat in the Ninian stand and behind me were 3 guys I have never seen before. Their language throughout the game was appalling and their abuse of every Cardiff player was disgraceful. I don't know why they bothered to come. More importantly my 8 year old guest was subjected to the most revolting language and the message that this has out is shocking. Who are these people? Do they not for one moment think of others and particularly the children?
Mon Dec 17, 2012 11:13 pm
In fairness, if you don't want an 8 year old to hear foul language, don't take them to the football or take them in the family end.

Some peoples language is a fu***ng disgrace lol
Seriously why didnt you just ask them to keep there language down if it was that bad or tell a steward to deal with it ?
Or go in the family area with the child ? Not that you should have to mind .

their is more bad than good in this world some things you just have to take on the chin, I personally dont like it and I dont want my daughter to be hearing people swear at football matches in a couple of years time
where did it all go wrong? and why,
Mon Dec 17, 2012 11:20 pm
To be fair its football and that is what you get at football. Just like in a factory. But in fairness you should of taken them in the family stand where it should not be tolerated
Mon Dec 17, 2012 11:22 pm
I understand where you're coming from, but in football you got to expect bad language. Me for example, I swear all game every game, I get too involved with things
Community section would have been the ideal option for you

I just think that some of "the lads" came back to have a look

I would suggest the family stand.
My language on Saturday was awful although I wouldn't say I slagged off the player just bemused at them.
I do have a younger kid about 10 or so with his dad infront of me and I always try to keep my language down although they didn't return the second half although that wasn't to do with me (or I hope not). Most my ranting was the second half.

As Ambassadors, I think the club should spoil us with some Ferrero Rocher.

He couldnt go in the family stand, its sold out remember. He could possibly have got tickets
In anothet part of the ground at family prices but
Then there is no guarantee he wouldnt be sat
Next to some inconsiderate clown with no regard
For those around him.
A bit of respect for those goes around you goes a long way, when wil people realise that just because iys football it doesnt give you the right to act light
An idiot, use foul and abusive language or act aggresivly

If your concerned about kids hearing bad language i suggest you either DONT go
to football with them, or ensure you are sat in a stand designated for families.
Working Class men like a drink, like their football and often use colourful language.
Another suggestion would be not to let the kids play in the park with the other kids
either, and perhaps keep them away from school.

swearing at football is one thing, swearing in front
Of 8 year old kids is the behaviour of a scumbag

Any decent adult should curb their swearing if children are around. If they don't they are scumbags.

If theres a child in sight near you then you should have bit of mature behaviour, great setting example mind as an adult.

I used to take my boy to the Family Stand at the Liberty until a few years back, my mates were in the East Stand so one day for a change we got seats over there. It was meant to be a one off, but after that day, my lad never wanted to go back to the family stand ever again as it was boring.
The other side of the coin was that the language is a bit more choice in the East Stand but that was my choice, I knew what it was like in there.

Why protect a child from swearing when its all over the tv.
learning to swear properly is a great tool to have in your box.

...and just to make sure, wrap their heads in bandage so they cant hear or see anything that might cause them distress and keep them in a cotton wool lined container. ps all materials used must have a 90% recyclable content.

the correct use of abuse coupled with proper body language will save your child from being bullied at school without having to fight.

Taffyapple and others- you are clowns. Obviously you are not bright enough to understand what I am saying. In addition you cannot get into the family stand if there are no tickets available. I wasn't talking about routine bad language but appalling language. Use your brains will you? Oh sorry - that's the problem.

Sorry, but aren't you aware of what a football crowd is like?

I bet the same kid plays xbox games like call of duty, gears of war etc and his parents probably allow him to watch films out of his age range.. He'll hear a lot worse in his lifetime im sure.. I don't agrre with foul language in front of children that being said I wouldnt take a child that young into an area where I knew the language would be heard.. You can't expect a whole stadium to stop being passionate and swear as they have done for many years just because you decide to turn up to a match with "guests"..

So that justifies it?! Listen, I'm against all this usual PC bollox that, but swearing in front of children makes my blood boil
If you can't stop yourself "F'ing" and "C'ing" you've either got tourrettes, you're thick or you're a scumbag/chav! Call me old fashioned, but it's called respect, something you don't see a lot of these days

You are old fashioned.
You don't know what a chav is.
Ask a million people, whether they have ever been to a match or not, what goes on in football crowds and they will unanimously agree on swearing. This doesnt mean it is right or wrong, it just means that everybody knows this.
Anyway, we didnt ask for someone to bring thier kids into an area of the ground where me and my friends enjoy swearing loudly, football is emotive, swearing is emotive language.
If you take children into a stand that is not the family stand and are offended by swearing, perhaps the "thick" one is a little closer to home.
(EDIT: I wasn't actually at the game, and I don't excessively swear at any game, I was speaking on behalf of grown ups who think that the referee made a f**king sh*t decision, and want to express that without worrying about offending children)

Well, for me - If you are aware of what something is like, you then cannot complain about it afterwards?!
I don't swear uncontrollably at the games - I do swear and shout now and agin, but that's what a football crowd is like. Aren't you against chants with swear words in it too?
I'm neither a scumbag or a chav, by the way.
Tue Dec 18, 2012 10:51 am
complaining about swearing at football match is a bit silly to be honest, if these people were in the family section then shame on them but anywhere else in the ground then you are naive not to expect it......
also why do they have the family stand next to the away end? which thicko came up with that idea?
