But Zakuani also went in with a high foot, and look how far away they were from eachother when Heidar cleared it. Never a free kick, aweful refereeing

There was an offside in the build up, I know the offside player didn't touch the ball but as the ball travelled into the exact area the offside player was initially standing, he was definitely interfering with play. Helguson then cleared the ball with his foot going no higher than chest height and then the Peterborough player clatters into him. How the referee awarded a free-kick for that was mystifying. It was a horrendous decision. Helguson had what looked like a perfectly good goal disallowed as well, he wasn't offside and there was definitely no foul on the keeper, so I have no clue why it was disallowed. If that goal stood and we went 1-0 up, it would have been a completely different game. The officials influenced the game and Peterborough caught us on the break for their second because of the referee gifting them their free-kick for the first goal, I don't think we would have been caught on the break like that if it was still 0-0.

With all that being said, Peterborough were by far the better team from start to finish and although the referee influenced the game, for Peterborough not to win would have been a travesty as we performed abysmally and were second best throughout. Nevermind, in this division we cannot play every game well because of the number of games, physical demands of this league and fixture congestions. We just need to put this behind us and start a new run at Leicester Saturday. Hopefully Hudson will step back in and keep us calm and organised as if David Nugent gets half the chances Peterborough had, it will be a cricket score!

Helguson's goal from the Bellamy free kick early on was a good foot offside, CC Player have a shot of it side on and he's clearly offside when the ball's played in. I agree with you completely about the free kick decision though, Helguson wins the ball a good second or two before Zakuani comes in and kicks Helguson's leg. That said, Gayle had a goal ruled out later in the game when he was clearly level and onside and should have stood. Missed Hudson big time yesterday and too many players under performing!
