When teams come here and just sit back it would be hard for any team to get a result. So ok maybe we did only score the odd goal against Wednesday.
This would mean that we like teams to come out at us, as we can then go at them and that plays into our hands.
Well yesterday the posh did come at us,and for most of the game, and we were lucky they didn't put 5 passed us.
As I see it ,we depend on Whitts much too much, he had a bloody terrible game and the team as a whole didn't know what the hell to do. Yes Whitts put a couple of good ball down the line , but any good player should be able to do that anyway.
We really lost Midfield and couldn't stop posh coming at us, we let them run & run at us, and didnt have the a player in Midfield to break up there attacks. We didn't even win any second ball, this was there first win in 8 games I think , and for them to take apart a team as they did in our own ground with a capacity crowed, Malky really need to stand back and take a bloody good look, at the team and him self. he cant have it both way, that when a team comes at us we can then get behind them , but if they just sit back its hard for us. Cos no way did posh sit back, and no way could we get at them. As I say we were lucky not to have 5 goals put passed us.

Needed Mutch rather than Cowie and Maybe Mason instead of Conway with Bellamy on the wing. That way Mason could drop in to bulk up the midfield.
I think it was most glaring yesterday that we missed Nicky Maynard. Bellamy is fast, but he's not massively mobile with his running. Maynard would have given us an edge up front we otherwise lack.

Your correct. They put pressure on whitts all game. the others need to protect him more. cowie was useless yesterday

I think Makly brought on Mutch & Rudy to give us more height as we could beat them on the ground, that in its self dont say much for us do it.

Malky said all of that?

Something went amiss yesterday, christmas parties in Dublin, the emphatic win against a Blackburn and all the live on sky adulation ? Taking Posh lightly ???
It was so bad I am not overly concerned. MM has a good record in the "bouncebackability" stat.

Spot on. I think Jordon tried too hard when he came on but will boss the midfield when he
gets a good run in the side. Dont be surprised if Malky keeps Cowie in there for Saturday
though. You cant single Cowie out as the reason we lost. Even though I think Whittingham
and Mutch are our 'dream ticket'

Just in case you cant work it out , Makly talked about getting a result when team just sit back.
