Is this the real attendance after taking away 'no shows'?

No it's not, the clue is in the "attend-ance". If you sell 20,000 tickets and nobody shows up, the real attendance is zero as nobody attended.

That's not how it works. Although I believe the official attendance should be on how many people there are in the stadium, it's just on how many tickets are sold. You could easily tell that most of the ground was full yesterday compared to the rest of our home games this season. If all season ticket holders turned up then it would've actually looked like there were 26,073 people in the stadium.

Agreed but normally the real attendance is 18 - 19,000 odd I'd say.

The amount of people who actually go to the ground is a different thing altogether .Our average attendance is something like 21k but theres been many games where there has only been about 18k in the ground really but it was still announced as 21k. Yesterday the attendance was officially 26k but really there was more like 22k imo

Tickets sold etc is a matter for the balance sheet, but the official attendance figure should be the number of attendees regardless of how many tickets were sold.

the capacity of the ccs is 26,828 the official attendance was 26,076.So there was only supposed to be 752 empty seats ? there was a good few thousand empty because people didnt turn up but were still counted as attendees . There was way way more than 752 empty seats yesterday.
