According to the Sunday people city are willing to pay 2 million for Celtic left back izaguirre what's everyone's opinion on him, I don't watch much Scottish football but what I seen of him before he broke his leg last season he looked quality.

Good player was player of the year in scotland a few years ago wasnt he ?? Doubt he would swap champions league football in front of 50k fans everyweek to take a chance on a championship side though .
If we want someone from celtic it should be victor wanyama gonna be a big player in the next few years in the prem .

Understand your point on the champions league but realistically Celtic will probably go out of the tournament against whoever they play next, they've punched above their weight in Europe this season managing to get through a very tough group but they are unlikely to match that next season, and in the spl they certainly don't play in front of 50k when they play at Inverness or st Johnstone , so maybe the challenge of joining a top championship side and helping them get promoted would appeal to him, I hope so because what I've seen of him in the odd champions league game and old firm game he looks a top player

Be lucky if he's played in front of more than 50k twice this season  As you say, I'd rather Wanyama if we were chasing any of that lot.

Celtics average attendance has been well over 50k for years , maybe not this year as theres no rangers so will prob drop a bit .
i dont see how a championship team is more appealing than probably getting the same wages up there , winning trophys every year , guaranteed champions league football every year , playing in the nou camp san siro or bernabeau compared to the valley london road or vicarage road . Yes i know theres shit grounds in scotland but they dont matter there season now rangers have gone is the champions league .

Only once in the last 4 years has Celtic's average league attendances been over 50k and even now the figures are only so high because they doctor them like everyone else does these days. Start throwing in the recent 14k's for cup ties etc and the average comes right down. In fact, they ain't even had over 50k at a league game this season. A championship team is more appealing if you want a challenge, not an easy life.

lol look at it like that it sounds true, but really in the last decade only 2 seasons have been under 50k and one of them was 49k the other was 47k not including this year.
There lowest attendance this year is 42k nearly double what we get down the ccs .You say throw in the recent 14k for a cup match ? what about the recent 59k for barcelona and other cl matches ?
Celtic are a huge club with a lot to offer players and 9/10 players would choose celtic over cardiff if they had a chance . If and when cardiff get to the premier league that maybe will change , sad but true !

Their lowest attendances this season is 14k(3 times in that bracket)! and only 49k turned up for the Benfica game. 11k empty seasts for one of the biggest games of their season. They are a big club, they are not as huge as people make them believe. Yes, they can offer players big wages but even they have been trimmed year on year. Celtic are the biggest losers of Rangers disappearing.

No chance of signing him. One of the best left backs in Britain.

Wanyama is immense .... But is prem bound.

Izaguirre would be great for us.... Can't see it though.

Izaguirre is the best left-back I've ever seen play against Cardiff, even if it was a pre-season friendly. This guy is easily top premiership quality.

I doubt he'll want to come to us though but if he does we'd be a much much stronger team to say the least! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

United were after him at one point to replace Evra so there is no chance.
