450miles, £52 of petrol, THANK YOU REFEREE!

after moving to cambridgeshire from cardiff i regarly follow the city away. i make 5-6 home matches a season. drove a 450 mile round trip today starting at 5am. the referee in my eyes spoiled the game. the outcome could have been so different if the ref had give the correct decisions. im not for one blaming our poor performance but i still believe it changed the match. thanks a bunch ref!!

anyway onwards and upwards! see you all at leicester in a week!

Perhaps you should start a car pool club as it seems quite a few exiles are hampered by rising costs. It wouldn't have changed the result but might have saved you £40.

Perhaps there should be a section on here dedicated to that.

If anyone is travelling down the M4 past Junction 11/12 any week, I would be more than happy to car share. Likewise I would be happy to drive a minibus if numbers were there for away matches

People think I'm dedicated because of the travelling I do from Derby. However not many people know I actually do a car share with someone from Leeds. After a home game I usually get back at around 8 and I am totally knackered. For my Leeds chum its an extra 2 hours on the journey and he drives. Now thats dedication.

Similar problem for me......leave Bodmin, £10 for taxi to the station 7.00a.m.......at least 3 changes arrive Cardiff around 1.30 pm.....taxi to CCs £5.00....back to Hotel,taxi £5.00....Hotel £55-80,dependin on any "events" that might be on...leave Cardiff Station 11.00am Sunday...3 or 4 changes ...Bodmin 6.00 pm.. taxi home £10.
I must be MAD but do the trip at least twice a month and will do until I drop !

Could always start a Facebook group for exiles who post where they are coming from and to what game to share and cut down the costs. I dont live away anymore but it might help you get to more games if it works out cheaper - thats all.

Yes the ref has to take some blame But a class team would have got on with it, and made a game of it, we weren't even in the game. They out played us and made our defenders look pricks. the better team won. I would ask the club to chip in for your gas money or the team should !
