Gayle (number 34 for them)

Sat Dec 15, 2012 6:25 pm

On loan from Dagenham and Redbridge and they've agreed a fee for him in january. I thought the lad looked superb and i would love to have him here from what i seen today. (he also scored two against boro last week) :ayatollah:

Out playe and out thought Turner all afternoon - pace to burn, brave and good positional sense. He looked a real handful to be fair.

The same way Helguson repeatedly wins the ball in the air.

It just proves how important Hudson is. We need a proper leader as cover for him.

In January we need 3 players. A striker with power and a different dimension to his game to what we currently have. A defender with leadership qualities. Connolly and Turner are both great but they need to be told what to do. Once they are instructed they are great but if Hudson gets injured its going to be a tough patch for us. We then need a creative midfielder. We are relying too much on Whittingham and more teams will come and try to suppress his ability to distribute the ball. Someone like Koumas in his prime who could drop in behind a striker in the hole and collect the ball and turn and run at defenders through the centre.

He was good, but his dive towards the end was embarrassing and i dont want us to sign someone who'd look more at home on man vs food!

cant agree, (about the 34) think our poor defending and the fact we were so short at the back in the second half was the problem.

He did nothing in the first 45 mins

You can create a gap of 6" with your finger and thumb!

I'm surprised how so many people think being 6ft Is monster like?

It's all in the jump - 6" can easily be made up in the science and genetics of ones body (especially leg) muscles!

I would expect Turner to win more than he did even if they were the same height, most the time Gayle was back peddling (usually from a goal kick) while trying to judge the flight of the ball while Turner was looking straight ahead and attacking the ball. The extra inches should have just made it easy for such a big strong CB who is supposed to be good in the air.

To me, Turner of late has looked a little shaky, for me also at fault for the Blackburn goal.
