Sky or Virgin?

Might be leaving Sky, they've been overcharging me....Haven't been with Virgin for a long time but I hear there Tivo is quality, what have you guys got and what's your take on it?

Sky in are the tight ones when it comes to providing a service whereas Virgin are good to go.

Recently gone over to Virgin. No problems with phone (number went over same day) or TV (picture is much sharper with Virgin) but have had a few problems with broadband. The engineer who did the installation was a wurzel who doesn't normally cover this area, didn't want to hang around so didn't bother to set up my router properly and broadband went down following day. Had to have a technician out to sort out the wurzel's mistakes. Seems ok now though with decent speeds.

If you go for it then consider going through the Quidco site. I did it that way and am due to get £75 cashback....and if you do unfortunately get the wurzel make sure he goes into the router settings to set them correctly.

TiVo is great when it works.

Virgin have an alternative to sky Go customers who have Tivo services called TV ANYWHERE the app for mobile devices is available too.

Personally I think Virgin is alot better because the high speed optical cable is more reliable than satellite signal, and sky's broadband only has a standard download speed of 2meg whereas virgins entry level is a massive 60meg d/l speed.

I was with sky for over 20 yrs and left for virgincos their customer service is shit,had no problems with virgin got everything with them broadband is fast as bollocks and they don't charge you for hd channels unlike sky,did take a while go get used to after so long with sky but I'm basically saving £30 odd quid a month with virgin ,would've been nearly a hundred quid with sky they just keep on charging and taking the piss so I had enough.

Got 3 tivo boxes in house all working fine, left sky and imo virgin is better, plus hd pictures are better as well.
