We are bigger than several though, I'd say.

Yes. I do believe they have some very talented individuals like Mackie, Taarabt and Cesar but as a team they are crap whereas we have some quality players but the most important thing is we are working very well as a team - all positions contributing to goals and defending so that is the reason I believe we would beat them.
I honestly believe, strangely enough, the two teams we would struggle against in the Premiership to be yourselves and Arsenal when on form. Maybe West Brom because when they get going they are a good counter attacking team and Long has a lot of pace which we struggled with when he was at Reading.
Other teams I reckon we'd just sit back and soak it up. We had years of long ball etc under Jones so our players no how to handle that approach. We would be one of those teams I believe that would use players like Gunnarsson to get at their creative midfielder and then try and grab a goal on the off chance via set piece. Given how good a player Whittingham is I think there is a strong chance we could win games against Prem teams via set pieces.

I would definately add Fulham to that list. Also how many teams have had a season or two at PL level but are not there now which we would class ourselves as bigger than? Burnley, Hull and even the likes of Barnsley and Swindon.

What's your marker for being bigger than?
Cardiff have got a decent-sized catchment area and a bit of money to spend but that's about it. And QPR can trump Cardiff on both of those anyway.
You're probably bigger than Wigan and Reading though

You do realise being a bigger team isn't just about attendances right? It's about your history and what you've achieved. Fulham do have bigger crowds, 25-26k (which is a sell out), expanding their ground to 30k and were in a Europa League final a few seasons go plus regularly play in the "biggest league in the world" (I still think the German league is the biggest).

How have QPR got a bigger catchment area than Cardiff? Their 'mannor' is around Shephards Bush/Acton and have Chelsea based just down the road. We have most of South East Wales with no major clubsOh and Vincent Tan can blow Tony F out of the water when it comes to wealth and access to finance and that's before he brings anyone else on board.

Attendances certainly play a huge part when deciding what a 'big' club is, or are you saying Newcastle United are a small club because they haven't won anything for years? The question was obviously an objective one and is not subject to any written tests or the OP would have stated what they were.
So IMO we are miles bigger than Fulham and if both clubs expanded their stadiums to say 40k and played regularly in the PL then we would get far higher crowds every week, therefore making us much bigger than them.

See, and yet we have struggled with Everton, who have taken us to the f**king cleaners every time, and Norwich... We seem to achieve better results against teams who keep the ball down and play. Not saying that Norwich and Everton are long ball merchants, they just seem to have us sussed... Funny old game eh?
