Both players scored against their former club at the weekend and 'out of respect' didn't celebrate their individual goals. However, I did not see the point in this gesture as both players were celebrating goals scored by other players. Is anybody else failing to see the point in this?

I just dont get the whole out of respect thing.
We know most footballers aren't loyal so big deal. They should celebrate for whoever they are contracted to even if it is against an old club or yours.
If I won a large contract for a job and it meant my old employers missed out I would still be popping the champagne.

f**k me, if Bellamy thought the same, he'd have to give up scoring goals!

In some cases I get it, nothing wrong with a bit of respect.
It's being overdone now though.

I thought it was a bit of a contradiction on the players part by making a point of not celebrating one goal just to go and celebrate another. Intelligent bunch these footballers aren't they

Barnett shut up.. some players careers started at some clubs and its a good sign of respect to the other club.
Celebrating another players goal is different as its someone else who scored.
