This blue thing.

Tue Dec 11, 2012 11:43 pm

Before I start and some of you mouth off. Cardiff bred, Cardiff born, and one day no doubt, Cardiff dead. Sums me up.

I have always stated that Cardiff should be in blue. In my heart I still believe that. When I see subs warming up in blue I look and ask myself "who is the new player?". Then I realise it's the away team. Tell me I cannot be the only one.

Anyway, back to my point. Cardiff City not wearing blue or to be put another way, wearing red. Do I like it? No. Does it bother me? Yes. Do I still support the team ? Hell YES.

Tan is not going to change his mind. Get behind the team. The dream is within our grasp.

I have told my kids that one day we shall play Barcelona in the champions league and we will be favourites to win. If a man of over 45 years of age can still have that dream after supporting the City for 40 of those years then surely most if not all of you can.

Stop this in-fighting and get behind the team. We are going up, and as champions. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I do understand where you're coming from here, genuinely.

But i think the point is that a lot of fans are finding it impossible to enjoy the success we're having at the moment as a result of the rebranding, so how well we're doing on the pitch at the moment doesn't really change anything.

This (rebranding) is the more important issue, in my opinion.

Not only that, but the whole point of this petition is that it's not one that's meant to cause conflict or affect the team on the pitch anyway. It's just something that has to be done before it's too late. :ayatollah:

I respect that, and I'm still 100% behind Malky and the boys. But I, like many others, am finding it difficult to feel the joys of being in this position as much as I would if we were blue. If we were blue with our real badge we would have had crowds of 23,000 regularly this season, no problem at all. There would be more passion from the fans hence a better atmosphere and there would be even more of a feel good factor throughout the club.

I hope to God something can be done before the end of the season to return us to our proper colours. That would make those trophy celebrations at the Bolton game all the sweeter :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Scott

I really feel your pain but lets take a long hard look.

VT will not change hs mind. We are never going to wear blue at home whilst he owns us.

No petitions will change his mind. As Rafa said once "it's a fact"

I hope I will be proved wrong but very much doubt it.

I think it's just another rally where someone will get self accomplishment because they're head of something. It won't come to anything I guarantee you, it's all been done now, why would Vincent Tan swap the red top for an away kit? He can't gain any money from away games, so showing Cardiff in a red top with the advertisements in the background is how he showcases his business assets. The Return To Blue/Keep Cardiff Blue will fail.

I'm sure you're probably right to be fair! But what harm can trying do?

I'm sure this will be the season that we go up, and it's going to be so hollow for me if/when we do because i'm actually hating this season, even with us having the best team we've had in years. I'm just not enjoying it. It kills me to see us run out in red.

And yet I don't want to give up on my club because i'm not stupid enough to think the club would miss me and couldn't replace one fan if they go up, and also going to watch the football on a Saturday is a part of my life.

But i don't think i could take another season of this, and if it's the first season of us in the top flight then it's going to be even harder to stomach.

Sorry, but i just feel i have to do all i can now and at least say i've given it my best shot before its too late, and i just hope others feel the same, as i know many do. :ayatollah:

Not to mention some of these people don't go anymore(I"m not saying ALL just some don't go anymore) It's quite annoying, some people don't care what colour we're in and just want to see Cardiff.
