Matt Phillips this season

I know a few people have mentioned Matt Phillips could be a January signing for us, I think that would be a cracking signing cos he is a goal scorer aswell as an attacking minded player,
I've noticed he haven't seemed to feature an awful lot this season for Blackpool but why? Was it rite he and holloway fell out cos he wanted to leave at the start of the season? But now holloway has gone what's the problem now?

Injured I think?

He has started 11 been a sub 4 times and scored 2 goals. He is getting overshadowed by Tom Ince this season who is definitely their star player. With noone, kimbo, smith and Bellamy in our squad I think Phillips would struggle to get in starting line up where as Tom Ince would walk into our side. We now have a lot of top quality championship wingers so it's not an area I'd look to strengthen unless we brought in a real star like Ince. I'd be focusing on strikers and defence.

He's injured until the end of December although shows here Southampton want him. 5.5mil

Liverpool are meant to be buying Ince along with Sturridge, So they might want to keep Phillips when he returns But he would be a good signing for us

Think he has a hayemaker injury? bad toe
