John Brayford?

Just seen this on twitter:
"Cardiff have joined West Ham in the race to sign Derby full-back John Brayford." From a West Ham news twitter account, posted 5th December... Anyone heard anything about this? Quality signing if we could get him in. West Ham have been rumoured to be after him for a while.

Heard this on Friday. Have also heard strong rumours of Vaz Te or K. Jones joining us on loan.

Yeah I've heard about those two aswell, although honestly every transfer window we seem to be linked with a black premier league target man, normally Jones or Jerome I genuinely believe Malky already has a couple of things up his sleeve when it comes to signings, don't know why but I just do. January will be fun!

Derby's stalwart defender John Brayford is attracting strong interest from Cardiff City after impressing in the recent 1-1 draw between the two sides. Bluebirds manager Malky Mackay is looking to keep his automatic promotion push on track by shoring up his defence with the ex-Burton and Crewe Alexandra man.
Also monitoring developments is Premier League big boys West Ham. Big Sam Allardyce is looking around for some bargain buys in the January sales after spending quite heavily in the summer transfer window, although quite successfully. He sees the right back as the right back as the perfect addition to his squad and would provide some much needed competition to Guy Demel and Joey O'Brien.
Rams manager Nigel Clough would be loathed to lose to Staffordshire born full back, but as financial constraints at Pride Park become more untenable, Clough may be forced to cash in on assets John Brayford and wonderkid Will Hughes. Should one of either Cardiff or West Ham submit a bid of £2million or more, the Derby board are likely to accept the offer.
Nigel Clough would also like to strengthen his squad in the upcoming January transfer window, but may be forced to sell before he can buy, with either Hughes or Brayford being primer targets for so called 'bigger clubs'.

Our club were pretty good at keeping our true targets in house during the summer. Think we were linked with everyone, turned out to be a good few surprises in the end. Can see our club leaking out a few false rumours to keep other clubs sniffing around who we are really targeting maybe.

Yes, my opinion on every footballer is based solely off FM.

I have seen Brayford play numerous times and every time he has impressed me, I personally feel he is the best right back in the league, he's solid defensively but he is just as dangerous getting forward. He is pacey and has one hell of an engine. I would be delighted if we get him!

I honestly don't think he'd go to West Ham because I can't see him getting a whole load of playing time there, just because of the quality of some of their current players. If he came to us he could make himself an integral part of the team and be one of the first on the team sheet if we were to make the premier league.

Where have you seen him play? And how often? However good you think he is, you don't need to go so mental over him!

I've seen him play several times for Derby on TV and a couple of times against us. Next time Derby are playing have a good look at him, I have yet to see a winger get the better of him. I guess I look out for right backs at other clubs more than other positions as I feel it's a position we have needed strengthening the past few seasons.

I cant say i noticed much about him when we played up there a few weeks ago but will hughes looked superb and run the show in my opinion!
