I have had some very interesting conversations this weekend regarding signings that Malky has lined up in January.
If the players Malky has targeted and expects to sign come in, then no doubt the feeling of expectation that promotion is a real possibilty will go through the roof.
Enjoy the ride folks cause this could very well be a season to remember

Carl you hero

Good times ahead! Are these signings in your opinion Carl, extremely good Championship players or can they perform at the higher level as well?(I"m assuming they're Premiership players so yes but want your opinion on it)

Nice one carlos

Also fingers crossed he gets the business done in the early stages of January, to avoid losing them to other clubs and having more time for the players to gel

Any ideas whether they are likely to be short term deals initially? I really think this is going to be our season but would hate to be lumbered with players on huge wages and long term contracts if anything did go wrong.

How many do you think he will go for on his list?
Mon Dec 10, 2012 1:08 pm
robbie keane will be a bluebird !!!
I wouldnt mind seeing the boy from peterborough GEORGE BOYD come to us , ive allways liked him as a player and with his great scoring record for a poor peterborough side imagine what he could do when in a side like ours supplying him 3 times the amount of chances he gets now ?
Quite looking forward to seeing him play saturday hes a great little player i really think he would be a 20 goal a season striker in a good championship team.
He would also be cheap to get so wouldnt be so much of a gamble if he doesnt make it .

I'm sure you will all agree that Vincent Tan is playing a blinder for Cardiff City right now!!
What a double act him and Malky are becoming.
Personally... I think we'll go up even without any new players. But the fact the Club are not
leaving anything to chance bodes well for us.
Our rivals will be pig sick if we strengthen in January

I just hope the players we sign in January won't be egos

Carl, I have been told to ignore the comments that have been said lately, that not much will happen in January and that Malky's signings if all goes well with the other clubs, will be Malky's biggest signings to date for Cardiff City.
Hmm interesting times ahead.

You tease Carl

apparently Malky spoke about bringing in at least two players who should be able to go straight into our team and maybe some cover for Andrew Taylor(loanee) . Lets hope he doesn't leave it too late on this occassion.

Yes well said , it's unfortunate but it looks like all he will be remembered for is the rebrand.
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:05 pm
Throw us a bone here Carl... are they current premier league players? I realise that we wont be getting regular premier league starters or anything, but highly rated by yourself?
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:13 pm
If the Kenwyn Jones rumour is true that'd be awesome. Need another two full backs which would be easily the most complete Cardiff squad ever.
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:16 pm
Depending on who Arsenal signs in January, Aaron Ramsey on loan till the end of the season- with some clause attached to it.
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:25 pm
Vince tans barmy army
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:33 pm
0h my...almost a positive thread without the mention of rebrand.....

Michael Chopra, Kelvin Etuhu, Anthony Gerrad, Jay Bothroyd, Seyi Olofinjana, Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Solomon Taiwo and Stephen Bywater. All dedicated hard workers with Cardiff City Football club at heart.......................Yeah ! Tossers who came for the money and didn't care less about US
.
Can't wait to see if we get any of our targets, one thing I know is Malky wont sign anyone like the above
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:42 pm
What was wrong with Oli

My dear carlccfc....i must admit i have so much admiration of your goodself for your willingness to put your head well and truly on the chopping block.....i would like your take on some points i would like to raise, such as that Mackay must keep his new found wiliness to be more positive when playing away from home,he must stop dithering on appointing a captain for the Peterbourgh game,it has to be Bellamy, Whittingham is to much of an introvert to be captain, and finally i hope your right regarding the possibility of new signings in January, because i got the distinct impression from reading Mackays comments about signings, that he was preparing the fans for once again failing in the January transfer window

Chops first season at Cardiff was nothing less than sensational . Probably the best City striker to wear a blue shirt IMO.
Unfortunately he went off the rails.
Olifinjana and Jay also had the moments in a city shirt. Jays temperament was not to everyone's liking and probably didn't have the heart when the going got tough.

There's nothing like looking on the bright side - and these comments are nothing like looking on the bright side!

How do you know Malky is Dithering?
I like the fact your saying what Malky "MUST" do.....all your years of football managerial experience must be paying off
