Opinions on goal music?

Sat Dec 01, 2012 1:28 pm

Goal music is extremely cringey but if the right song was used it could lift the atmosphere?

Re: Opinions on goal music?

Sat Dec 01, 2012 1:33 pm

Awful.

If we ever had it at City (we did one game) it would be a shambles - we can create our own atmosphere.

I'm not keen on us adopting almost everything that started in the USA. OK, some of it, fair enough, but goal music and using the word "guys" far too often is punishable by firing squad, in my opinion.

Swansea have goal music     LOL at them

Re: Opinions on goal music?

Has no effect on atmosphere.

An atmosphere isn't created by the celebrations of a goal, atmosphere is built up by the buzz around the stadium prior to the match and through out it, not just when a goal is scored.

Makes no difference to anything,

Yes, it does. If fans need a bit of music to help them celebrate a goal, then they're a shit club & fan base.

I have no idea what goes on in your mind. Are you thinking fans celebrate the turning on of the music rather than the goal? :D

I doubt anyone even notices, atmospheres are created before a goal is scored you twonk.

Not to mention us having one of the worst atmospheres in the championship! :?

Re: Opinions on goal music?

No, never, playing music after every goal would make me feel worse than looking at that red kit.

You claim to be a Cardiff fan yet criticise every single aspect of the club whilst bugging up Swansea city.

We don't have the worst atmosphere in the championship. Nowhere near actually, ours is not what it was - but it's still good.

I said if fans need the aid of music to score a goal, then there's something wrong. This is because the music is there to start players singing, but we don't need that.

More nonsense. I'm just saying it how it is.

Do you honestly think goal music is there to get people singing? don't think I've ever heard football fans singing U2 or such like.

It's not about needing goal music it's just whether the club has it or not. We have music before our games, does that mean our fans need it to create an atmosphere? It has nothing to do with atmosphere, it's 20 secs of music that nobody notices anyway as eh are celebrating a goal.

Re: Opinions on goal music?

Sat Dec 01, 2012 2:56 pm

I've never heard U2 played for goal music :?

Yes, it's to aid people to sing. For example, Norwich play pig bag to get the fans singing it.

S do other clubs, why else would you play music but to get the fans chanting?

Seriously, just go away with you incorrect & condescending clap trap.

Re: Opinions on goal music?

I've been going to football longer than most and I've never heard a crown sing along the the music played when a goal is scored.

You are literally bonkers.

If you meant Norwich then say Norwich.

Well good for you, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I've seen it.

Why else would clubs play music that it used regularly for football chants as goal music?

I once thought it was a good idea. In hindsight I don't know why I thought that.

Re: Opinions on goal music?

Roath Isn't going to condemn goal music because it is played down the liberty when they score. There's no point even arguing the point, he's a proud jack and anything which goes against the Swansea theology is wrong or worse.

Re: Opinions on goal music?

Sat Dec 01, 2012 3:21 pm

One of the worst things about modern football. Goal music is for small clubs with shit fans.

We play music before the game.... After the game... Does this mean its to get us singing on the way home?

I've yet to see or hear of a club that sings a song played over the loudspeakers when they score.

You are talking nonsense.... Again.

Take a look at Norwich then, they play Pig Bag - and the fans join in. (It's the song that goes along with du du du du - Jason Koumas)

So, I'm not the one talking nonsense.

You said clubs, plural.

I've seen it at other clubs too.

I'm apparently the one talking nonsense, but you are proved wrong.

Makes about as much sense as your posts.

Roath Magic is struggling here.

Loads of clubs sing and dance to goal music. That's a fact.

Where have I said I have seen plastics at the liberty? I just told the story of 3 people whom I know have STs there & never went before promotion.

You're twisting my words & struggling here.

Not struggling with anything.

I've never seen or heard of any club singing whatever song is played when they score a goal. You are telling me some do and I've made the point that you are as credible as peppa pig.

I stand by everything I've said.

You know absolutely nothing about me, so why feel you can judge my credibility.

He's a proud jack and he won't ever go against the Swansea theology because in his eyes Swansea can do no wrong.
