Well done to him.
What is it? Four months of training?
He deserves credit just for having the bollocks to take on the challenge.

Fair play to him, but let's hope he has got it out of his system. Not a great advert for what's left of boxings reputation. Well done Flintoff, but let's move on now.

For the sport it was a poor advert.
The scoring was a sham... Fred only lost a point for being knocked down.

Fred isn't the type to want it that way. The media made it more of a circus. And the fact his opponent didn't throw a punch.
He had a goal, he done it. Just hope it doesn't become the norm with people having a go without wanting to make a serious career out of it.

I don't know why so many people have had a pop at Flintoff for this? He took it seriously, trained hard and although it wasn't the best fight he did well 2 win! Sonny Bill Williams regularly fights in the rugby off season and Quade Cooper also is this season. You never hear people having a pop at them in the Southern Hemisphere. Just seems like its built into so many people in our society 2 be negative and critical.
Anyway well done Freddie!

Mate I actually like Freddie. Him and Phil Tuffnell are the only Cricketers I can actually stand.
As far as boxing goes though.. Fred has poor hand co-ordination and abysmal footwork.
I accept that it was his 1st professional fight and he would've been extremely nervous, but the above are the basics if the sport and you need them to succeed.
Sonny Bill is an animal on the pitch and probably would stand well ok a domestic level, but out of that area then he would find himself like a small fish in a big pond. Sure his next opponent is Francios Botha?
Quade Cooper is venturing into the sport now and has rejected contracts from ARU and ARL.
I'm not knocking Fred for venturing into the ring as I respect any man who climbs through the ropes.
But the sport is not for everyone.
