Right even though i believe its a nice gesture to keep up a relationship with chasetown why are people paying money to a team we have no affiliation with apart from playing them in the fa cup a few years ? would you still be doing this if they had won the game which they nearly did ? what can cardiff city possibly get out of this ?
why not go and support a local welsh league or league of wales team who need the money to help bring through our youngsters through there youth systems which take a lot of money and hard work by normal people who are normally volunteers .
i remember when i couldnt make citys away games i used to go across the road to the old leckwith stadium and watch inter cardiff play. the league of wales is a decent standard , can anybody else remember them playing celtic in europe at ninian park what a great occasion , i enjoyed it so much i even followed to celtic park for the return leg . this is a club playing for wales in europe and making us proud flying OUR flag which is also a club which sadly no longer exists due to financial problems which is mostly down to the attendance problems .
the point of this post is that our local clubs need help to keep running and supporting teams in england over our own clubs can only have a negative impact on a allready badly damaged welsh football system .
If you have the chance go watch a local welsh league match you wont be dissapointed most have clubhouses and small stands now and in a group is quite an enjoyable day out .

Adding onto what i just said a good idea seeing as a lot of people want to boycott leeds away , why dont we organise a trip to a local team on that day like barry town , merthyr , treforest or ely rangers and pay say £10 each to watch it and get a good crowd for them and show our support for our own , the money generated on that day would help one of those clubs survive for a while and maybe help them upgrade there facilities or invest in there youth systems ?? would anybody be up for that ??

I dont think this is unique to Cardiff city most clubs are affiliated in some way through friendships formed with clubs of other teams whether this be out of respect, political or another reason such as meeting fans and keeping in touch and then arranging people to visit that club. Wrexham are pally with Bohs in Dublin for example, Rangers /Chelsea, Swansea and Den Haag you get the idea. Chasetown since playing at our stadium have been full of praise for us a club. We helped them win their ground development in Evo Stick league which amazed their fans and officials. Since then ccfc fans have visited there and each season they bring a bus to CCFC. They make us feel very welcome there on the pitch before kick off long may it continue whilst their not a glamorous club there is no doubt this club enjoys a great bond now with our fans.

If a grown man want to go to a chasetown game, in a replica kit, go watch some wrestling on the way home and then stick on football manager when they get in then that's exactly what they should do.
