What a shite atmosphere, and we moan about lack of passion and singing at CCS! and these people are dressed up and supposedly more tanked up than we are on match day! It was like a library in there. Some guys were literally screaming and waving their arms trying to get a song going, I know how that feels as I do that in the Canton stand. I tried to help things along as i was a bit bored, sober and felt like Billy no mates but all to no avail. Brings new meaning to only singing when your winning. No exaggeration here, but not one song was struck up across the ground today. I am making a point of this as I have always heard the notion that on 'international day' the atmosphere is amazing and the singing is spine tingling, NO it isn't. Maybe in the seventies not any more, having the worlds best team today should have raised the roof in song, not even close, the biggest cheer before our first try was Prince Edwards face on the big screen,it was like a Wetherspoons pub in there today.
Enjoyed being in the Mill Stad again though, and always brings back goosebumps from Wales v Italy with Bellars winner, now there was an atmosphere. Great win for the mighty BLUEbirds though which made my wet day!!

I'm not a rugby fan, but I've never seen that before. Why don't teams do that more often?

You said it, Tangled. The best atmosphere that I've experienced at the Mill Stad was Wales v Italy - FOOTBALL. I've been to many matches there, football and rugger.
More importantly, how's the job situation with you, mate?

A reason to get pissed.
Where are all these 'fans' when the clubs play on the weekend?
Football fans understand football.
The majority of rugby 'fans' don't have a clue about the game.

Stood on the east terrace, not a fat bird in a cowboy hat in sight, 50,000 Welshmen belting out the national anthem made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, never experienced an atmosphere like that in any sport , people tell me it's nothing like that these days though.
