A forum for all things Cardiff City

Tan,Langston,Sam and US.

People need to just relax and stop doom mongering.
Anything they say or do isn't going to do a thing or have any bearing on out current situation.

And what is our current situation?

Tan has control of the club,But not full control (for a particular reason).
That particular reason is Langston.
They would appear to be wanting Tan to take control so they can say "Give us our Money".
Where does this leave Sam?
Well Sam is a Middleman. Say what you want about him but you cannot say he doesn't like football or particularly Cardiff city Fc.
We all know what happend at Wimbledon, but Sam has said it as have many others "they lacked the core support and fan base".
I for one remember watching Wimbledon v ManUtd and sellhurst was full.... Of UTD fans.
When he came to Cardiff, Sam embraced the supporters. Especially a certain group ;) United in the front of "if we want to move forwards then things have to change"

Change they have for the better in most and worse in some scenarios.

But I don't and never have doubted Sam's feeling for us.
More often than not he let his heart rule his head which effectively cost us as we'll as himself.

Sam has said he would never Hurt this club"His Family".
Tan Has Promised once Langston is done "My monies owed by the club will become shares"
The key has always been Langston and will always be.

I am grateful to Tan for what he has done and yes I have my doubts, but they are outweighed by the knowledge of the mans history.
He is a marketing mogul and a very successful one at that. He has already started extreme ways of marketing us as a brand and I wouldn't expect it to be finished with.

There is a reason why we have Malaysia on our shirt.
Look at Arsenal today announcing £150m shirt sponsorship.

Tan has plans for us and he also has back up plans. This season is a massive one for Tan Langston Sam and Us.

But it doesn't end there, Be it Premier League or Football League next season.

I laughed too much at the "Sam wouldnt hurt us"

Annis even stated in his book what Sam thought of us, along the lines of "if the fans turn on me i will f**k them"

Why is he holding out for the extra 1 million, he could quite easily say "i love CCFC so for the good of the club ill accept Tan's offer"

I think this is a great post and wholeheartedly agree with the comments.

The comments re Sam I echo. I have had several conversations with him over the last year and I maintain he loves Cardiff City. Quite frankly he could take the line that the full debt is due in 2016 and he wants nothing to do with Cardiff. That is not the case. He keeps in touch and listens to matches more than people realise.

As for TanSri Vincent Tan. The guy is a genius when it comes to Marketing. From founding the Berjaya Group in 1984 the company now enjoys a total revenue of £1.4 billion (in 2011) and has assets in excess of £3 billion (2011). How many UK companies can boast these figures?

I know we talk alot about colours on here but one thing is for sure. With TanSri in charge the future is most definatly Rosy - and good things are around the corner.

I think it will go one of two ways. Get promoted and a club based in Cardiff will go from strength to strength. I believe additional investors will come on board, crowds will increase, relative success on the pitch will follow. The price to pay will be more rebranding, including a red stadium, the loss of the bluebird and maybe even a name change. If one is able to live with all of that then it'll be good times ahead. I would expect loads more traditional City fans to drop off,to be replaced by thousands of new fans.

Bollocks, pressed submit before I explained what I think the other way will be...

The other way will be if City fail to get promoted this season...I'd expect Tan to substantially reduce the playing budget with a view to asset stripping via player sales and selling the club on. I think there is a fair chance that the club will be back in blue or a compromise kit next season if we are still a Championship side as I believe he will view the 'project' to have failed.

Its all about agendas re: The Malaysians.

Some support Sam. So are quick to criticise and very slow to praise ANYTHING the Malaysians do.
Almost as if us being second in the division has nothing to do with them. Fair enough, support Sam.
Because THIS group all support Cardiff City

But the others. The Tragics, Daya's, Rain man brigade....

There's no love of Sam there. But neither is there a love of Cardiff City. Just a deep resentment of
all things Tan. And the bollocks they have come out with for the last two years........

Guess what..... The Malaysians never left last summer

and Guess again... the posts saying "They're off THIS summer are fewer and further between

Because this sadly embarassing group of unwanted 'other club' supporting idiots are running out of
things to say.

So they make it all about the debt. NEVER about anything positive.

You will never never see a post from THESE cretins saying "f**k me our young defenders look good"
or "Well well, Helgusson is finally scoring" or "nine home wins, happy days"......

Because they are not City fans
