He had a 2 hour meeting today with Chief Exec and his assistant took training. Personally I think he needs to go as he has spent a huge amount and QPR are worse off than they were last season. Hughes is the most over rated manager in EPL.

Not as silly as it sounds Gonzo.

He ballsed it up last time but if he's learnt from his tactical errors then not a bad shout.

Not long, Man United on weekend at home ain't it? Can't imagine him keeping it much longer, the Chairman understands the fans frustrations so has to do something about it

Speculation over the future of QPR boss Mark Hughes intensified after he failed to take charge of his teams Monday training session.

Instead, according to SkySports the former Wales manager held a two-hour meeting with chief executive Philip Beard.

QPR are currently bottom of the Premier League table still seeking their first win of the season.

As a result, reports have claimed that Hughes could be axed by the end of this week.

Under-fire Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes didn't take training on Monday but DID have lengthy talks with the club's top brass, according to reports.

Hughes' Hoops are still without a win after 12 games in the Premier League this season, including a home defeat to second-bottom Southampton on Saturday in a match that was dubbed the Lay-Off Final because the axe was looming over the Welshman and opposite number Nigel Adkins.

And, Sky Sports reports, Hughes was a no-show at the west London club's training ground on Monday.

Instead, he spent two hours with the club's chief executive, Phil Beard.

The development comes following reports earlier on Monday that QPR owner Tony Fernandes is expected to fly into London this week to tell Hughes his fate.

Hughes was hired by Fernandes in February after the sacking of Neil Warnock, who had steered QPR back to the Premier League after 15 years in the lower divisions.

The former Wales, Blackburn, Manchester City and Fulham boss was backed by tycoon Fernandes in the summer, signing a dozen new players.

But his much-changed team have managed just four draws and seven defeats in the league season so far.

I said along with polo I think it was that qpr would be in a state.
Hughes is an average manager but capable but his signing have been awful, truly awful.

How can a team spend so much money and end up with Anton Ferdinand in defence

He's learning then.

Coleman and Hughes the dream team for the Welsh FA, a nightmare for us supporters.

Hughes and money don't mix.

Give him a decent squad and he'll get them into a good position.

Give him a poor squad and a lot of money and you'll end up with a poor squad and no money.

May I just clarify I was not defending Hughes ir QPR.

I think Hughes is doing a great job and its no wonder Stan hasnt been after the fool he made of himself earlier in season.

Calling me thick as I said they would get relegated.

Mark Hughes remains in charge of QPR despite speculation that he had been sacked.

Rumours started circulating on Twitter that Hughes' 10-month reign at Loftus Road had come to an end after the club's terrible start to the season.

But Kia Joorabchian, who represents Hughes, told the BBC that claims the 45-year-old had been removed from his position were "not true at all". Hughes is expected to take charge of training on Tuesday.

Winless Rangers are rock bottom of the Barclays Premier League, five points behind 17th-placed Reading, who have a match in hand.

Hughes on Monday met with QPR chief executive Philip Beard - the man chairman Tony Fernandes sent to fire previous manager Neil Warnock - at the club's training ground in west London.

Hughes did not take training today, but the club insist that is common practice as they players were in for a light session.

Having signed 11 first-team players - some of them from Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United - Hughes was expected to guide Rangers to the top half of the table, but a 3-1 defeat to Southampton on Saturday stretched QPR's winless run to 12 matches.

I don't think Stan comes on here after the abuse he got with others because some didn't agree with him. DW QPR was a good poster who got driven off
