It won't worry Earnie, he was brought up on Lansbury Park. 8-)

I spent a few months living on the Israeli/Lebanese border back in 1979 - spent a few nights in bomb shelters, spent a whole night in a slit trench under mortar attack, got to witness a dogfight with some Syrian Migs and Israeli fighter jets, F1s or F15s can't recall.

For those of us of a certain age there was war, I mean war with countries invading each other with tanks and tens of thousands of troops etc every few years over there.

Point I'm making is, that country is used to this sort of thing. I'd be alot more worried if he was in Gaza, that's for sure. Earnie is a grown up, not sure it is up to the City to tell him what to do. Read in the Echo today his son was out there with him for a week - obviously a real concern, but hopefully he is able to stay safe.

I do agree the City ought to support him whatever he chooses to do - by all accounts his team are doing well, and he is part of that, unlike back here.

And no I'm not Jewish and don't support the bombing of family homes, schools etc, wherever they happen to be. Sadly treating people like shit tends to make them behave like a bunch of cunts - and it doesn't matter which God they think is on their side.
