Was the atmosphere better on Saturday...

Mon Nov 19, 2012 1:58 pm

because more season ticket holders turned up than usual? I was very surprised when the attendance was announced at 21,500, it looked a lot more than usual, not just a couple of hundred more, which can only mean that some 1k-2k season ticket holders must have turned up at once, so to speak. Granted the spirited performance got the crowd going, but I think it was the extra 2k in the ground that made a difference.
I can only assume that as we go through the season and the closer promotion gets then season ticket holders will not want to miss a game,as they so obviously have been, it leaves me very optimistic that by the end of the season, the CCS is going to be rocking, beeating anything that was heard on a consistent basis at Ninian Park. :ayatollah:

Good atmosphere, helped by the poor performance of the ref and some of the dirty tactics by Boro.

Hopefully, the crowds and atmosphere will increase - the team deserve better.

I could not believe it when the crowd was announced as 21500. What have been previous attendances? It looked a lot fuller like you said. Even the corner Canton/Ninian seemed much fuller.

Same here. I've got my season ticket in the corner of Canton/Ninian and there were a lot more there than normal, including a large crowd from I don't know what country who all had a CCFC scarf on and were having a whale of a time.

Saw them lot. All with scarves and a Cardiff City shop plastic bag (there was a few ££'s of plastic bags between them, never mind what was in the bags).

I thought they were Malaysians, then someone said Samoans. Seemed happy and I hope they return.

It felt like the ref got the fans going more than our own team.
Some of his desicions?? Considered I may need to be getting glasses at one stage as I thought I was not seeing clearly

And they stayed until the end cheering, clapping and having a good time, good on them, they're welcome anytime in my book, brought a great atmosphere to that normally quiet corner.

True. When the stadium first opened, that corner was OK but it's dead now. Glad the visitors enjoyed and it was funny to see so many people together, having a good time at a home game! More of this, please!
