Well worth a read, it's an interview with Earnie about the rocket attacks hapening in Tel Aviv:

I'm sure he's safe there, just hope he's able to get out of dodge should things escalate.

Wales striker Robert Earnshaw tells of bomb terror in Tel Aviv

Mark Smith, WalesOnline

Wales striker Robert Earnshaw says he feared for his family’s safety following a barrage of Israeli air strikes on his new home city.

The 31-year-old, who moved to Israeli Premier League side and Maccabi Tel Aviv on a season-long loan in September, was forced to take shelter several times last week as rockets flew over the city towards Gaza.

More than 65 people have died since Operation Pillar of Defence was launched on Wednesday.

Bluebirds favourite Earnshaw, whose two-year-old son was visiting at the time, was also told to flee his car as he made his way to watch his side’s away tie with local rivals Bnei Yehuda.

But the Zambia-born striker, who is currently out with a hamstring strain, instead chose to head back to his apartment complex to check on his worried family.

“It has been a very strange and uncomfortable few days,” Earnshaw told the South Wales Echo.

“These raids have taken us all by surprise. Tel Aviv is normally a great place to live with a great lifestyle outside of football.

“These attacks are rare even for the locals.

“I have been really enjoying my time here, but if I ever felt that myself, or my family, was in any danger I would have to reconsider things.”

His young son, Silva, was visiting his dad for a week when the first rockets were fired on Thursday.

Training was brought to an abrupt halt that evening when a siren sounded in the middle of the senior side’s training session.

All the players, along with dozens of children, fled into their dressing rooms as a rocket was intercepted several hundred feet above their training camp.

After a few loud explosions, training was immediately cancelled and players told to head home.

“I had no idea what was going on when the first siren went off. A lot of the foreign players were completely oblivious”, he added

“I looked over to my left and saw all the Israeli guys, who had all done three years’ service in the army. They knew exactly what was going on.

“One of them shouted that we had to take cover up by the side of the dressing rooms, so we just ran after them.

“Then we heard a loud bang of the Iron Dome – a new protection system used to intercept rockets.

“We then had to protect ourselves from all the shrapnel coming down.”

A further training session was cancelled on Friday morning as more sirens echoed out around Tel Aviv – the first incident of its kind in the city since the Gulf War.

And despite a raid taking place just 45 minutes before kick-off, their Saturday match – just 15 minutes’ drive away – still went ahead.

The 7,000 in attendance at the game, which Maccabi last 1-0, were given emergency instructions should the siren sound during the match.

“It was a stupid decision,” he said.

“But it is amazing how quickly life returns to normal around here. It just shows how confident and determined these people are to get on with their lives.

“The army and defence system here still seems to be very good, but it’s not something I thought I’d have to experience in my football career. You don’t hear about the war in Tel Aviv. It’s a family-orientated place.

“Unless something major happens, I still want to play my football out here. I do miss Cardiff, but we are top of the league and I want to see us get into Europe.”

Cracking reporting by the press there.
Shows a complete lack of knowledge of what they are reporting on. Just blame the Israelis.
Do you think we should tell them that Earnies new home city is in Israel, so very unlikely the Israelis would be bombing it?
It was palestinian rockets that were being fired at Earnies house.

Shows our fans up a bit, methinks, we have dynamic ticket prices and rebranding as excuses not to go to games. The Israelis have palestinian rockets being fired at them, and they still turn up.

Why doesn't he fly back over if it's getting dangerous?

Because any aircraft is likely to be shot down by a rocket due to the violence occurring. Its a massive risk.

That will be one very busy airspace at the moment.
Be like bonfire night over there.

Is it a plane? Is it a bird? oh no, f**k me, its a rocket.

Earnie could try "I'm a celebrity get me out of here"
