I tried it a couple of weeks ago, pulled up with cramp. Played football on a saturday morning once without eating and only lasted about 20 minutes

I wouldn't recomend not eating  your body wont recover without nutrition, could lead to more bad than good, low imune system etc. and fatigue

I would have a banana and a small cup of water , weet a bix when u get back or porridge, and count your calories for the day,
adventually you'l be dropping kilo's after a few weeks of that routine

I only run at night. Can't be fucked in the morning.

I don't know what's better though.

I can't run on an empty stomach. I can't run within 2 hours of eating either though.

A light snack may suffice, need energy etc.

carbo load night before if you want to run first thing in the morning, if you eat in the morning you will have to to wait a few hours then do your run.
