The test is really easy, but you can get a book from WH Smiths that will help you.

I honestly believe the card has nothing to do with safety but more about proving you are able to work in this country. In order to get the card you have to provide all sorts of id etc. I suppose it makes it a lot easier for someone to check you are legal when you show up on site.

I had to do community service once, and the induction day was mad, you were given a sheet of paper and it said spell shovel. spell it, you just had to rewrite it, mind you it was in Merthyr. I heard Adam Brown had to have help with his paper. ;)

Easy test, I did fail mine 1st time around a few years ago. We didn't have a book or dvd to revise from and alot of the questions where about ground works and driving plant machines, We do Office interiors.

1 Question I had was: If you need to get down from a scaffold do you:

A, Jump off and bend your knees to break the fall.
B, Jump over to another scaffold.
C, Climb down a rope you have attached to the outside
D, Safely climb down the ladder proved on the inside.

Obviously it's A ive been doing it for 15years,

Done mine a couple of weeks ago and as stated by others the test is common sense for the vast majority.

The test has changed slightly with 12 case study questions first then followed by 38 very easy multiple choice answer questions.

Regards costs I am not sure as the company paid.
