i for one was glad to see him gone in the end but he is still one of the greatest managers cardiff city have ever had ... we came within a whisker of winning the fa cup and promotion to the premier league, so for me he deserves a great reception from us supporters! .......... how will you be on the day?
Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:42 pm
A clap before the game, that's all.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:42 pm
we not f*cking scared
Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:43 pm
He will get a standing clap from me for the attack flowing football he gave me and a hand shake on his way in, its a shame he wasnt backed like MM as much as i didnt like his social skills.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:46 pm
He was undoubtedly a c**t but he was our c**t and I couldn't care less because if he was a c**t or not because he got results on the pitch under tight finances.
A standing ovation from me.

Got a lot of respect for DJ, He was as gutted as us when we lost the playoff's and the Cup.
Had a good time here but I think it was best for both parties to part ways at the end. He will get my applause.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:00 pm
He deserves a warm welcome and applause before the kick off, followed by banter during the game, and respect after the game.
He obviously upset some people but not me. I enjoyed the DJ years.

I think he will get the respect he deserves......
Jay on the other hand

he deserve's an applause.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:11 pm
Well like him or not he was the most successful guy we had there for a long time. So we surely have to give him credit for that.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:15 pm
What about Jay?
Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:18 pm
Applause for both before the game and dogs abuse - at least for Bothroyd during it.

Jay chose to leave, to me worse than asking for a transfer as we didn't get a penny. We also had the will he won't he bollox, then had to endure the Parkin experiment in case he did go at christmas.
Biggest game of our modern history he went missing.
I was nearly sick with the applause for Chopra, at least we got a few quid back on him.
On a positive he was an amazing player whilst he was here, when he looks back he should never have left although him and Malky may have been fun and the ayatollah to the Jacks last season for QPR was class
So stand up and applause (even three cheers) - DJ
Silence - JB

I was glad to see the back of him in the end but he did give us some very exciting times and year on year was forced to sell his best players to balance the books so fair play to him on that. But the last couple of seasons he had a decent budget but his team bottled it. He was far too touchy when it came to critcism of his team and his tactics but instead of rising above it he would take the bait and in his own clumsy manner would criticise the fans and he allowed himself to get too wound-up by the local press where again he showed a distinct lack of skills. He also let good players go for peanuts such as McCormack and Matthews and I think it was very unprofessional the way he hung Matthews out to dry for the Ipswich defeat....but on balance I think he deserves a round of applause

Managers never really get poor receptions compared to returning players. Jay will get stick from the idiots but I'm not surprised any more.

I'd correct that to
Applause at start and end - DJ
Applause when he's announced - Jay

Wrong, At the time he was here he was given the biggest wage budget in the history of the club.

with the contempt he deserves. He did a good job at start but had no plan b. He got us to Wembley but bottled it-Rambo should have started FA Cup and McCormack should have replaced Bothroyd in play offs.
DJ had little respect for the fans and always blamed everyone else when we lost. He treated the media with distain and because of him we lost Ledley and Matthews on Bosmans.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 7:36 pm
Got no time for him and come the 2nd Dec he willbe a total blank to me.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 7:49 pm
Whatever welcome he gets he still served us for six yrs,
This is one game he will wanna win the most.
Why's it on the Sunday?

Simple - applaud. He haves us great success and I went and saw my team at Wembley with my son. A happy day I shall never forget.

I was a DJ supporter but in the end it was best for both parties on reflection.Although he's seen as a failure to some I wish him well. Not many could take some of the shit he's had to take and I do feel that the club benefited from his tenure as manager.I only hope we can distinguish ourselves from other fans by not resorting to some of the disgusting chants he's had to endure this season.Even if you despise the guy its better to say fuck-all than resort to that.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:23 pm
I will probably chant
COME BACK HOME MY LORD
COME BACK HOME
COME BACK HOME MY LORD
COME BACK HOME
COME BACK HOME MY LORD
COME BACK HOME
COME BACK DAVE JONES.
for the full 90 minutes.
I will boo Bothroyd though. Never rated him as a pro as he was always on the floor and did my head in.
Sun Nov 18, 2012 9:06 pm
I wanted to jones to go but he will get applause from me.He worked wonders for this club but just could not get us over the final hurdle.

Funny that his all time high was a 20million budget yet we got a 30+million budget this year, how wrong am i.
