First of all Ben Nugent and Joe Ralls did their best but you could see we were weaker at the back because of how little experience the two had, so I can honestly say, with the defence he had along side him, the clean sheet, the cut head, and the amazing positional sense and big tackles that was the best single defensive performance I have ever seen from an individual in the City ground, collectively there have been better of course, but I thought Hudson was just outstanding yesterday.
Second of all, maybe it's games like this we need to get the atmosphere going, beating Burnley 4-0 is all well and good, but it was so easy that we just enjoyed it, we didn't need to sing at the top of our voices.
Yesterday on the other hand, the pressure they brought, the more they came, the more people started to sing and get behind the team, commitment to the cause, hard work, every single body on the line, that's what got us going and towards the end of the game was just fantastic. My favourite game of the season that, now we just need to keep it going !

Totally agree, I loved that yesterday and as a result of what was happening on the pitch triggered the fans to get the atmosphere going.
Hudson was a leader yesterday and deserves all the plaudits for his performance

Agree 100% mate, Loved yesterday, Wasn't the pretty on the eye but we give 100% and battled to the end, Like you said the youngsters did their best and battled as well as they could.
Nothing wrong with our stadium we just need to sing louder.
Great day and Hudson is the best defender in this league.

To say we looked weaker because of Ralls and Nugemt is a touch unfair.
Ralls came on and was extremely impressive - whilst for his debut, in a top of the table clash, Nugent settled in well!

I don't want to win games like that, It was a nervy game

Was a great afternoon, didn't want to leave come the final whistle
We raised the bar with the atmosphere we created, lets hope we can keep it up

I didn't mean that Ralls and Nugent comment in a very negative way, but you could see Nugent losing a lot of balls in the air and positional sense wasn't the best, same with Ralls who got the wrong side of the attacker a few times. Like I said though they did very very well for the situation they were in, I mean it was pretty much a full début for Nugent in the sense he almost played the full 90 and Ralls has never played there before. I think it was testament to Hudson though how he helped them through it. I honestly have never seen a better individual defensive performance live by and individual.
Nathan Blake can shove his comments straight up his arsehole

I was one of Hudsons biggest critics until Malky got here. Last season he was very good.
This season he's obviously looked shaky once or twice but its the mark of the man that
he can come back the way he did. Overall he's a very good defender at this level.
As supporters I think we should be taking a deep breath when our lads have less than
amazing games, deep breath, count to ten and give them a chance. Its the least they
deserve, because they ARE giving it 100%
Well done Hudson!!!

What a contrast in two halves. First half it was like a bloody sunday school......second half was a pretty decent atmosphere...not brilliant but much more like we used to be

Best of season so far and and bit of atmosphere to boot. The refs shitness helped as it ups the anger counter and also Boro's dirty play does the same. The lads played with plenty of heart and we love seeing that. The win was not in the bag until the final 30 seconds and they had several chances to equalise in the last 10mins so my heart was in my mouth on a few occasions. Only one goal but what a great game v top of the table and nice to get a clean sheet also.
To help with the atmosphere, the club also needs to focus on the pre-match build-up in the ground to warm up the crowd. Its very hit and miss at the moment and if its done right, it does make a difference. Great afternoon yesterday in any case.

I seriously think Joe Ralls should consider becoming a defender, he will struggle to get into our midfield and over time i reckon he can do a better job than taylor does at the back

Hudson's the man that's for sure. And another in the second half in 116 we all stood and no one told us to sit down. Niceeee
